  1. Don't panic! Just gently insert your finger into the fold on the edge, then penetrate a bit deeper and glide your finger all the way along the edge. You don't NEED an letter opener! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  2. Who is your artist? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  3. I love rainbows.... It was much more vibrant, but I stood there watching it so long, I almost forgot I got a camera for Christmas. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

  5. Can't you pee in the shitter? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  6. Ewww. Swedish pilots are such show offs! Yep that's real. That's the Gothenburg club's Skyvan. I jumped that many times. They don't have it any more though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  7. For the most part it is a comfort issue. However. If you plan on doing hybrid jumps in the future you may want to consider the wider chest strap. I personally feel more comfortabel with a wide chest strap if I have someone hanging off of me. I can still loosen the chest strap under canopy. I don't think that should be a concern for you at this stage, but something to consider if swooping is in your future. As far as water landings go. You should be able to get out of any rig quickly enough. Dirt dive it. Just as you will practice EVERY proceedure when you get your new rig. Familiarize yourself with ALL handles, and keep touching yourself, uh, I mean rig, until it is part of your muscle memory. That includes touching your hook knife and undoing your chest strap in a timely manner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  8. Oh. And here is a cool site that is a wealth of information. http://www.entrepreneur.com/ http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/0,4621,299774,00.html ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  9. So your business would be more of a sub-contractor than you being an independant contractor? If you are forming a corp of any sort, be certain to maintain your accounting records in auditable form at all times. And try to estimate what your projected revenue would be, so you can determine if the minimum taxes imposed on your corp are going to be beneficial compared to your self-employment tax. Unlike LawRocket, I would tend to lean toward the LLC or other corporate structure in this industry. (But then I come from an accounting background ). I would need to see more of a detailed business plan to have an opinion one way or the other. Nevada is always a good place to set up shop. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! 10. Bytch! PM me right now! We have got to talk.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

  12. A comprehensive book would be a cool idea. But it would have to be maintained and edited on a regular basis, as innovation and change in this sport is ongoing. Those of us that make this our career try to keep up on all the details and changes, but I don't think I would have the time or energy to put it into the written word. You can, however, find gear "professionals" right here on DZ.com that offer free gear consultations. As a gear dealer, it is my job to educate you, the consumer to the best of my ability. There are several of us here on dz.com. Most of your questions and concerns can be addressed over the phone or via e-mail or PM. However if you have a local source at your drop zone, that is always best. Right now during the winter is the best time to soak up knowledge. Riggers and instructors are not as busy and should have time to educate you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  13. You will be if you sue Amazon.com for stealing your identity! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  14. Some just simply use what they have for years with out any thought about whether or not it should be ZP or F111. Just a thought... -------------------- You mean like Mirage who uses F111 Pilot Chutes? Vector offers both F111 and ZP, and you know how Bill is about R&D. He is the king. I think plenty of thought has gone into the choice of pilot chute that is used in a rig design. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  15. Well. It was my best choice. We were supposed to get 3.5k. And back then 2K was not considered low. I had no problem manually extracting it, but the opening was brisk. There are thousands of velcro rigs around too. I choose not to jump them or sell them because there are better rigs available. Correction: I will sell a used velcro rig under the right circumstances. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  16. I have more, but it's dial up out here ya know! By the way Aaron says this is him: Say, "hi". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  17. Yup. Check it! Notice I photoshopped the sky to make it look grey. When in fact it is impossibly blue. I just didn't want to make all you weekend warriors feel jealous! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  18. SHe gave me a barbie in freefall. She has bought FROM me. But no. I haven't bought anything from her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  19. I'll try to go over there right now and take a pic with my new Elph that I got for Christmas! And we don't have to go to Bon Gustos, we can go to Woody's! Much higher class drunks there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  20. What kind of rig? Some manufacturers have designed their gear with an F111 and some ZP. I like to stick with the manufacturers suggestions for that one. Unless I see continued "issues" in the field. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  21. From personal experience and customer feedback. Any pilot chute hesiation can cause the jumper to look back or become momentarily unstable. Usually at the moment the pilot chute decides to do it's job. Maybe not noticable on larger parachutes, but on highly loaded eliptical parachtes, that could mean a spinner and/or a cutaway. Just after seeing minor issues come up, I had started to develope a dislike for the system. I wouldn't ground you for jumping a bungee, but when your maintenance or replacement time comes up, I would question your decision if you want to buy another. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  22. Come on over here GFD, we'll go to Bon Gustos! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  23. I am fully aware of how a bungee is designed and functions. Thanks for that. Poor openings? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  24. I'm not blaming equipment, and I stated that in my post. It was a series of events. I'm just saying that we can eliminate unecissary factors. And yes, I belive that PC was one small factor in a series of factors. We evaluated the eye witness accounts as well as the jumpers Pro Track to help understand the chain of events. And for whatever reason, his pilot chute did hesitate. And it had a history of hesitation. Would things have turned out differently with a different PC? I don't know that answer. But I do know that I am more dilligent in maintaining my own pilot chute as well as selling gear that I feel is superior. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  25. My two biggest pet peeves. - Takes more airspeed to inflate and actually extract your pilot chute. So hop 'n pops can cause pilot chute to hesitate. What do you do when you pitch and don't feel anything happen? Look over your shoulder? Do you jump a small canopy? When your canopy deploys while you are looking over your shoulder, how do you think it will open? - They wear out and the bungee looses it's elasticity. Then you just have a regular pilot chute.... if you are lucky. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
