    You do realize the medical insurance premiums had been going up at pretty much that rate for years pre-Obama, do you not? We need to have single payer, and also provide free medical education (as does France, in return for 12 hours per week free services for the duration of the career), and probably do something about the liability issue.

    I don't think that Trump would have a prayer to win on the merits, but they are doing an excellent job at the RNC playing up the fear and paranoia. He already succeeded in a huge (HYYUUGE) way in the primary, tapping into people who he will not help one iota if he is elected; he may be able to expand on that. He lies every time he puts more than 4 or 5 sentences together, never gets called on it. RNC will keep throwing stuff against the wall, trying to make it stick. And some will.

    Comey was also appointed HSBC board to improve the company's compliance program after its $1.9 billion settlement with the Justice Department for failing to have sufficient checks in place to catch money laundering. Appropriate? I have no idea.

    A friend told me that voting for a 3rd party candidate is a waste of time and is actually helping the candidate you DON'T want to win. Sure, you can always vote with your conscience, knowing your candidate has zero chance of winning, or you can pinch your nose and vote for the one of two candidates that don't stink as bad. Like Wendy, I live in a state where it doesn't matter whether I (or about 3 million others) vote R, D, or for some independent -- it would still go D. Even our primary is so late that the party candidates are usually set before we vote. Likewise, voters in deep red states can vote for Johnson if they dislike Trump, and their state will still go R.

    it's very short sided and prejudiced to tie lack of impartiality to only religious affiliation and not political and social preferences also (all of which demonstrate goofy amounts of bias and selfishness to slanted and intrusive philosophies) - anyway the results will speak for themselves or not as the background of the judge is less important than a track record of impartiality your post just seems to be two things: 1 - a gratuitous opportunity to hack on religion - common in SC 2 - assumption that 'activist' judging is acceptable. if one has issues with laws they perceive to be founded on religious beliefs that aren't also applicable in a secular sense, then your real beef absolutely needs to be with the legislature first. Then judicial second. No, my post was simply pointing out the hypocrisy of those saying that Ginsburg should recuse herself on any cases regarding Trump, should he be elected.

    That's an odd thing to ask. He just said he was grateful, not outraged, for her actions. Why would he be outraged at someone else? Alito, and all Catholics on the bench, should recuse themselves whenever an abortion case comes up, as they cannot be uninfluenced by their allegiance to the Vatican.

    Why would she recuse herself? Did the justices who had voted for President recuse themselves in the Gore-Bush Florida case? They just had not made public their biases, but they obviously had them.
