The "45 degree rule" for exit separation DOES NOT WORK
headoverheels replied to kallend's topic in Safety and Training
I've successfully applied the 45 degree exit rule before. If the temperature is less than 45 degrees F, I get someone else to front float, so I can exit from inside. -
Yes, I agree, zerohedge.com credibility is sinking fast. There are many many ships in transit. The article is simply wrong.

I see people splitting lanes every day here in California, unless perhaps it is raining so heavily that few bikes are out. It wouldn't bother me if it were made totally illegal to split lanes. I cannot see how splitting lanes would be viewed as some sort of right.

I predict that he will not live to see another Republican president.

I'll leave the eggs to someone else, but I'm drinking the rum part for you (12 year old Bajan).

So your "manipulated" numbers show that Canada takes in about 10 times as many Syrian refugees, per capita, as the US. Is that your point?

Planned Parenthood and the term "slippery slope" .
headoverheels replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
I just made my annual contribution to PPH. Because of they are now bearing all of the expense of handling fetal tissue for medical research, I doubled my usual donation. -
Mostly because whenever I think of Bumfuck, I think of Bumfuck, Iowa. Always have. I always thought it was BFE. It is, but quade doesn't want to be mistaken for Muslim Brotherhood.

Nothing new there. It just shows that Trump is more consistent than most politicians.

You're not getting that elf.

Probably an Israeli. No, it was the leader of ISIS.

Of the remaining field, who are you favoring? I'd still pick Christie, then Graham.

Here's something interesting. There are now more customers where the insurer isn't responsible for the cost of medical care, than those where the buyer/company is responsible for the actual costs. That explains why I couldn't get any interest from the insurance company when my insurance got billed for someone else's colonoscopy (with complications) in addition to billing for mine. They basically get a cut of cash flow, and my employer picks up the variance from expected at the end of the year. I'm still not sure that the money was ever returned by the provider. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-belk/the-obomacare-paradox-the_b_8735042.html?ncid=txtlnkusaolp00000592

And the Darwin Award winner for Friday the 13th is....
headoverheels replied to Amazon's topic in The Bonfire
No, the chimney was plugged up and smoke was getting in the house. -
Not true. I've actually made pie of one that had been used for a Jack O'Lantern, and it was quite good. It is a lot easier to use the canned stuff though.

Feet and knees together.

Pumpkin pie is the epitome of mediocrity -- the best pumpkin pie you've ever had isn't all that much better than the worst.

Even though males cannot study alone with females, they can still bone up with a male friend. At a school with that much pent up sexual frustration it's good they have guns as target shooting seems to be their only release.

Of course, the San Bernardino shooter was a born-in-the-USA US citizen, and his wife was Pakistani. Clearly a reason to refuse Syrian refugees. I'm sure Jesus would have turned them away too. Takes a fairly broad brush to reach from Pakistan to Syria. About as far as from Venezuela to Clayton, GA.

Active Shooters in San Bernardino, CA
headoverheels replied to JohnnyMarko's topic in Speakers Corner
What do you mean by "failing?" Paranoia is a diagnosis supposedly extractable from the results, but could be common for people that would buy a gun for defense without any real justification (as compared to someone in a higher crime or more remote area, or someone that enjoys target or other shooting). Such a person wouldn't likely pose a danger (or would they?). -
