I used to play that (the game, not the drinking game) as a kid. Paper and pencil, before it came out as a commercially produced game with plastic pieces. Dad never said, but I wonder whether he picked it up shipboard in the Pacific during WWII.

I don't know if that thing would be too accurate, what with your feet being on the floor. I wonder if the instructions are to hold your feet up while you go. With only a resolution of half a pound, it wouldn't be all that useful. Not that it is useful anyway.

Is the Washington Times Ok with you? http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/oct/20/hillary-clinton-state-department-approved-us-weapo/?page=all That article seem to support that there is only conjecture about any actual shipments of guns.

Like the party primaries in the US, it seems that British "democracy" is controlled by the powers that be, not the body politic. http://www.newsweek.com/british-minister-cold-water-boaty-mcboatface-448897

"Republicans would give their left nut right now to have super delegates."

My brother and friends did something similar in GA, but voted to Cruz, to try to keep his tally high enough that he would get delegates. I'm registered R in CA for the same reason, but I will not be voting for Trump.

North Carolina Anti-anti-discrimination law
headoverheels replied to wolfriverjoe's topic in Speakers Corner
The Republican Governor has started backpedaling, trying to brand the bill as “bipartisan” even though not a single state Democrat voted for it. In fact, they refused to even participate in the vote and walked out of the Senate chamber in a display of public protest against the law." From the comments on that article, 10 or 11 Democrat representatives voted for it. They give 10 names. -
Clearly they are in need of job training.

Yes, I'm learning a lot about the party nominating processes that somehow had never come to my attention in the past. I had heard the term "superdelegates," but it just sailed by unnoticed.

I don't like Cruz - but this quote alone makes me chuckle and maybe dislike him a little less. I don't like Dent - but this quote alone makes me chuckle and maybe dislike him a little less.

I'll take that bet.

Is what real? Does the medical device tax apply to any of that? No. But you know that. Did Cabela's erroneously charge that tax to some customers? Yes. More than 3 years ago. Like some of those Cabela's customers, you are just trolling.

So what? Do you think 'baying for blood' and 'trumped up' are the only two settings here? Do you think the little black girl would deny she'd ever met, talked to or touched the dreadlocked guy? the first report I heard said that she initially said that he attacked her, then the video came out and she no longer said that.

Please provide some reference for that -- I don't remember it. Thank you.

Merrick Garland doesn't need a Senate vote for SCOTUS
headoverheels replied to funjumper101's topic in Speakers Corner
They don't have to hold hearings. Hearings were almost never done before the Joe McCarthy era. They do need to vote. -
Pinestraw has won many straw polls, but can easily be bought, and I've seen Pinestraw in bed with a bunch of pansies.

I wonder what she would think about someone disparaging black women who straighten their hair.

You are right. I do not. I am just going on how you post. You seem to just be incredibly intolerant of anything that does not fit your view to a T. You have never adapted to anything. You seem to be taking a narrow definition of "adapt." Adapt can mean "assimulate to", but can also mean "get used to."

Don't misunderestimate her ability to refudiate the arguments of the plaintiffs.
