  1. I thought the last part (eviction) was okay, but he shouldn't have tried at first joking that the crying baby should stay in there, since it definitely came across as actually telling the parent to stay. He is known to be easily distracted, but should have realized that the audience seeing it on camera was huge compared to those actually in the room, that we couldn't really hear the baby on camera, and that it would play badly on camera.
  2. There may be no Federal or Constitutional binding, but state laws affect many, as do party pledges. http://www.archives.gov/federal-register/electoral-college/electors.html#selection
  3. Well, those bone spurs in his heels must have hurt a bit. Enough to get him out of the draft. http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/02/politics/donald-trump-purple-heart/index.html
  4. Well I see that Trump received the Purple Heart today . Seriously
  5. It seems that pretty soon the government is going to be obligated to start an investigation into Trump.
  6. Perhaps it will be a replay of Romney's victory party, where he was surrounded by family and none of them could grok that he had not won. That would be amusing. Or a landslide, Goldwater style.
  7. So now that Feeling the Bern is over, are you feeling the Johnson?
  8. I was expecting more of an accent than this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnL9OT1E7GY That barely qualifies at all. I think of a thick accent as one which a native speaker might have difficulty understanding.
  9. She had to get the word out, since Fox wasn't broadcasting the speech. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/fox-news-didnt-air-muslim-soldier-speech-khzir-khan_us_579b9b3de4b0e2e15eb5c5e9?section=
  10. The difference is that the RNC was a depressing, fearful, and factually 85% incorrect vision of the USA. The DNC is just about the opposite -- upbeat and much more factually correct (whether or not one agrees with their policies). DNC speakers were obviously much better and on point. Other differences are the immediate quashing of the RNC never-Trump delegates. The DNC tried to bring the Bernie camp into the fold, but there were still lots of protests -- not shown that much on the MSM, but good coverage and interviews on alternate streaming media sources. Both camps actively strove to repress the dissidents on the floor, but the Dems (Bernie or Busters) still were quite active outside the convention. Trump's speed was laughable -- still to be seen how Hillary does.
  11. Also great speeches from Biden, and from Bloomberg. Kaine, not so much.
  12. Rear Admiral John Hutson tells it like it is.
  13. It's a win for them. Trump gets impeached and removed, leaving Pence as POTUS.
  14. I guess normiss' delivery is just better. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=4807954#4807954
  15. My faith in America is reinvigorated.
  16. That will be nearly as effective as the floor vote on the first day of the RNC.
  17. He will be hungry again in an hour.
  18. In this case it does seem that she did it. I bet deep down, you honestly believe Hillary had no knowledge of this, and had nothing to do with it. She probably knew about it. Candidates have pretty wide latitude in scheming against their opposition. The party should not be doing that for them.
  19. He will say "you don't always get what you want..."
