I don't agree. Had the dead guy taken pills (for humans) in an amount usually prescribed and died of arrhythmia induced from long QT interval, maybe. Taking non-pharma substances in unknown dosage is a grossly ignorant thing to do.

Not really. He spouts unfounded things all the time. If it has some beneficial effect he will claim himself a genius. If not, he will say that he is not a doctor and some doctors said that it would work, but unfortunately they were wrong. Even a blind squirrel finds a few nuts. -
Sometimes, if other vehicles tell it so. To further comment on mhobu's scenerio -- the vehicle was going too fast around a blind curve, if simple braking wouldn't be an adequate reaction. Something more likely with human drivers.

Quite a bit, which is likely why more men than women die of the virus (more men, traditionally, have smoked). Smoking paralyzes the cilia in your airways, so they don't sweep out the mucus and dirt as well as a non-smoker's lungs.

It will, eventually. Right now, only a bit over 1000 people in the US have died. A week from now, it will be 1000 per day if they keep doing what they are doing. Two weeks from now, it would be 7000 per day. By then, it should be obvious that everything will not be getting back toward normal by Easter. -
Italy has 8 times the cases the US has, on a per capita basis, and the US hospitals are already having supply shortages. Italy has 80% more doctors per capita than the US.

By Friday, we will be battling it out with Italy for 1st place in total cases. Of course, they are still kicking our ass in per capita cases. China is really fading, despite their advantage of an early lead -- we are already ahead of them in per capita cases.

Maybe true for most, but if you have a lot of assets, I would still invest them where they have historically provided the best return. If losing 30% would noticeably affect your continuing retirement, then less stock exposure would be prudent. I reduced my stock allocation from ~96% to ~34% since the first of the year, but will likely double that in a year or two when the market looks better.

The total size of the test was small, even smaller when divided into multiple treatment groups. Interesting, though.
