  1. So the sailors on the Roosevelt were tested. Of the ones testing positive, 60% were showing no symptoms.
  2. I think it gives millions of people the opportunity to write "FUCK" before his name, or something similarly appropriate after.
  3. You cannot get tested if you are not showing symptoms. Half of the infected people in Iceland were not.
  4. I spoke to my brother yesterday, and he said Barbados is taking the shutdown quite seriously, with a 24 hour curfew. You are allowed to go out for medical care. You are allowed to go out to the grocery store only on one morning and one afternoon per week, with those days set by where your name falls in the alphabet. Someone reportedly was found in violation at 2am, and got 6 months in jail.
  5. Umm, a mounter and a mountee.
  6. If she is still sick, she doesn't.
  7. I am skeptical that the worst case new deaths will be zero by June 23. It would be interesting to see their projected cases/new cases plot. The deaths can't peak until maybe 10-14 days after the new cases peak. There are obviously a lot more cases than confirmed cases, and confirmed cases are a function of test availability, which makes that plot and calculation pretty loose. In my county (Santa Clara, Bay Area), only 0.62% of the people have been tested.
  8. I never knew there was a video either, but used to hear it on Doctor Demento.
  9. Jerry, you may remember this version from the 70's; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BmTYpVtICE
  10. As of yesterday, Santa Clara County in CA (under restrictions for 20 days now): ICU beds COVID 91 ICU beds other 122 Available ICU beds 91 Ventilators in use 217 Ventilators available 435
  11. That's a satire site, see other thread.
  12. In Georgia, it would be chiggers for sure. Right now, you need to be careful about ticks, unless you like Corona with Lyme.
  13. I don't find this SNL sketch very funny. Way too blasphemous.
  14. I know that it is hard to believe, in a day when welfare moms have newer/better smart phones that I do (I'm still on my first one), but a lot of kids don't have access to computers and internet at home. This is the US, not South Korea.
  15. AFAIK, newspaper readership these days is about zilch. Edit: and for those of us that do read newspapers, I don't much give a rat's ass who they endorse.
  16. These days, I doubt that you will find many 12 year old kids that haven't seen that on the internet already. Parents and schools need to add context.
