  1. No. Yes, 3 sets "in detail". Not amazing, give me the real thing -- not an option for one, who had had a double mastectomy at about age 28.
  2. What does your hubby get from the DZ for each tandem?
  3. Lodi hasn't changed tandem prices in a very long time (15 years?? ever??). There is a lot more profit in those than in regular skydiver ticket prices, which also haven't changed in some time. IIRC, Lodi doesn't do basic training (AFF, static line) on the weekends. You could hook up with bodypilot1 (Ed) on this board. Ed teaches at Lodi, but separate from their operation, so he may teach on weekends.
  4. I would say Monterey (actually in Marina) would have the most scenic ride. The price varies quite a bit from place to place.
  5. I picked up this penguin in a repair shop. http://youtube.com/watch?v=zcklx07x9oI
  6. Good point. So don't be opening a highly loaded canopy at 3.5k, unless part of a planned swooper stack, or headed for different landing areas, or alone.
  7. Yeah, I wake up pretty often to a view like this. Ya got a bloody mary?
  8. What do you mean dye my hair? You're the one who is going to be dying.
  9. You don't want to know...
  10. That two-timing bitch! I'm going to tell her to return that car I bought for her this morning.
  11. I've made 2000+ jumps at Lodi over the last 20 years. USPA isn't really relevant. The Twin Otter uses the short runway which ends right at the landing area, the others use the other runway. Take time to observe and understand the canopy landing pattern, and where and when the aircraft come and go. Of course, this goes for any new DZ one visits. Skydance is also fine; I've made a few hundred jumps there.
  12. There used to be a screen saver with a colon polyp theme. When one of the guys that worked for me had some polyps removed, I put that screen saver on his computer.
  13. Yeah, well, they can't even spent "monthly" correctly. Obviously, there is more supply than demand. I don't understand the attraction, if the money isn't there. It seems like a pretty boring job to me, often with undesirable hours.
  14. Where is the giant hamster? Oh, here it is.
  15. Seems like there is a significant supply of pilots who are looking for the guys handing out the dimes.
  16. She might let you do that, as long as you are nowhere nearby.
  17. Probably still Lodi. 13k is $15, or $13 in blocks of 50 tickets. Tandems are $100. Static line progression is offered, $500 for training and 10 jumps including equipment rental.
  18. You seem like a "Candy White" type guy to me. I don't personally like that blue, or that red very much. When I bought my Passat a few years ago, there wasn't one color I didn't think was great. Anyway, go for the white or the silver, whatever you like.
  19. Your "pulltime" and "hardcore" track are the same. Same technique as I posted above. Your "RW" tracking dive will usually be steeper, and not as fast, so that the participants can have some range to match the velocity of the leader.
