  1. Never underestimate the utility of a paper bag. Mr Franken would need a LOT more than a paper bag to make him attractive illegible usually
  2. Drop in and see us on Saturday. My wife and I are hosting our X-mas party, if you're in the area, feel free to come to the party. PM me for directions or more info... illegible usually
  3. http://edition.cnn.com/2005/US/12/06/marine.crash/ Didn't quite know where to post this, but here it is. illegible usually
  4. My balls are too big... http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2-1910265,00.html illegible usually
  5. You're suprised by that? Ever hear of Marion Barry? Yeah, I even sent a jar of Marion Berry jam to a buddy of mine that used to live in DC. he thought it was really funny (and tasty too) I thought that particular POS (Mr Barry) should have been locked up with the rest of the crack heads. I continue to be amazed by the apparent sheer stupidity of many voters. Hell, if a few thousand more FLA'dns could follow instructions, we probably wouldn' t need to be debating Iraq war policies. illegible usually
  6. Might even be worthwhile IF both cameras could work at the same time, but they can't. illegible usually
  7. That is really the issue here. What's amazing to me is that 1/3 of the voters thought this guy should keep his job. This guy was being paid with tax $$ to surf for porn and offered his internet "friend" more $$ (from the public coffer of course) in exchange for a good time. It was an extreme example of abuse of power. Good riddance. illegible usually
  8. Agreed. And I think that she did just that. I did have a small amount of respect for her prior to this but that has now been removed. illegible usually
  9. http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn8398 Break out the parka's europe. illegible usually
  10. Yep. The problem lies with the few asshats that try to convince others that the differences are evil (commies, gays, jews, muslims, protestants, etc.) and use this natural fear of the unfamiliar to gain power. illegible usually
  11. Definitly semantics: Take a look at any street gang and you will find plenty of 'brave' punks, up to no good. brave does not equal good. That meme is however part of the american mythos though since so many of our national heros are said to have been "brave" illegible usually
  12. Since we seem to have reached this point: A great resource for humane euthanasia is found at http://www.grandin.com/ Back on track: What should this fellows punishment be? http://www.wftv.com/news/5422862/detail.html illegible usually
  13. I think that is the best position taken in the history of Speaker's Corner. Certainly in this thread. Can use that? With great pleasure, I grant you unlimited use of the phrase. ITTSW illegible usually
  14. But Bill, it's always tequila time somewhere... illegible usually
  15. Overall Bill, not entirely a cruel way to dispatch a mouse. Better than a trap for sure as it's quicker and most likely less painful for the mouse. A glue trap is a better example of being cruel. illegible usually
  16. Most criminals have very high self esteem ya know. They steal because they deserve better than their current sorry lot. IMO, a return of the stockades wouldn't be all bad. illegible usually
  17. You're gonna need a bigger needle... http://news.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=us/1-1&fp=438b09e07d068d0c&ei=PliLQ-DqFIb0aNHnzL4F&url=http%3A//today.reuters.com/news/newsArticle.aspx%3Ftype%3DdomesticNews%26storyID%3D2005-11-28T184639Z_01_MOL867559_RTRUKOC_0_US-BUTTOCKS.xml&cid=1102651729 Now that's just a sad piece of news illegible usually
  18. India, while populous (very) is no-where near the same as China, which has natural resources in addition to its people. China's apparent lack of respect for its' human resources http://news.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=us/2-0&fp=438b1e277813d8c3&ei=ZkyLQ8TSBsTY6wHOjsHlBQ&url=http%3A//www.bangkokpost.com/breaking_news/breakingnews.php%3Fid%3D64602&cid=1102505649 or the environment http://news.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=us/7-1&fp=438b1e277813d8c3&ei=ZkyLQ8TSBsTY6wHOjsHlBQ&url=http%3A//edition.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/asiapcf/11/28/china.water/&cid=1102530798 in it's quest to become a world leader speaks of the 'sacrifices' that the PRC is willing to undertake to gain a dominant position in the world economy. It is truely shameful that the US is aiding and abbetting this country and is eagerly supporting the corporations that are inadvertantly trying to cripple our own country by eliminating our manufacturing capacity and destroying our human capitol by not educating our children. The fact is, the USA will survive. Being a 2nd to China for a while will awaken the true americans and silence the false patriots that have apparently taken over. illegible usually
  19. A highly moderated serious discussion forum would be a great idea. Ain't that what we do in here? illegible usually
  20. Agreed. There would be far fewer living rapists and child abusers if the punishment truely could fit the crime. illegible usually
  21. I agree. I also am certain that the canadian reefer really is very good. Maybe the Defense Minister is partaking of the local herbs illegible usually
  22. There used to be a really funny TV game show http://www.tv.com/street-smarts/show/2894/summary.html that was a very good illustration of the sheer stupidity of some of our citizens. It is fun to laugh at idiots, even if not very PC anymore. illegible usually
  23. that may or may not be a bad thing, but at least the next herd of representatives would be reminded that they work for the people and not their party. Now wouldn't that be refreshing! illegible usually
  24. Agreed, but wind turbines are still a good idea, and at least don't create more CO2. illegible usually
