  1. That's a great deal IMO. The Tri may not be the best canopy at any one thing but mine (I've owned three) have all opened great, flown decent and been rock solid. I hope I can talk my wife into a new parachute for her valentines day present. illegible usually
  2. Hey, I've seen it! It goes BOOOOOM. Then there's a big echo, followed closely by a crew of chemical plant operators saying WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!!! in unison illegible usually
  3. Nah, but hey - how tough can it be to drive. Seriously, tho - I agree with you. A well armed populace IS critical IMO. I think that reasonable checks should be made before allowing the purchase of most weapons, but beyond that we should be able to buy and shoot whatever we want. Hell, having a few privately held rocket propelled grenades might be a good thing. But to the title of this thread, I think that for hypocrisy at it's best, you need a Southern Baptist and a hooker. http://www.news4jax.com/news/6572488/detail.html?subid=10101101 illegible usually
  4. FWIW: If you actually look at the findings, it indicates that there is a link between exposure to a certain virus and the body's propensity to store fat. Intake and excercise apear to have been controlled for. illegible usually
  5. Yikes!! (I guess I deserve that, although I never would have thought of you as overweight. Overheight? yes. Overweight? not so much.) illegible usually
  6. No. A company is not obligated to help society. The converse is also true: Society is not obligated to help corporations. illegible usually

  9. Seattle will win the superbowl. That in itself is a sign of the end of days... illegible usually
  10. I'd rather use Google than Yahoo or MSN. At least they're putting up a fight. illegible usually
  11. One (and just one) of the problems with the big three US automakers is their over reliance on off-the-shelf parts to put in their 'new' models. There really hasn't been much change in basic components (drivetrain, suspension, engine, braking) that has been pioneered by the US. It's cheaper after all to use known parts instead of actually spending $$$ on R&D and testing new components. illegible usually
  12. But it' not the right KIND of porn illegible usually
  13. Do you Yahoo? http://news.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=us/4-0-0&fp=43d1d82daf56ec14&ei=-C3RQ-uSNqWSFquGueoH&url=http%3A//www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0%2C%2C11069-2002169%2C00.html&cid=1103616071 I knew there was a good reason not to. Porn aside, giving any government that much information on what people are interested in makes it very easy for them to use this information to further their own quest for power. illegible usually
  14. Some of the newest fastest cards are fully capable of handling the data rate for MPEG2 and good quality MPEG4. Still pretty spendy though. I'm not sure but the bottleneck may now be getting good enough real time encoding of the videostream. IMHO: the tech is do-able now, the issue is one of product life cycles and we won't see major brand solid state camcorders until: a) flash gets cheaper, and b) the full profits are extracted from miniDV. illegible usually
  15. This thread is about sex, porn and personal freedoms. It is not about economic theory. How dare you try to hi-jack a thread on sex? The republicans would easily get my vote if they would just stay the fuck out of my bedroom, my house and my personal affairs. Unfortunately for the USA, they can't. BTW: Free people build strong economies. Oppressed people build strong corporations. illegible usually
  16. try again The Rs' havenn't been about staying out of personal lives for quite some time now illegible usually
  17. I can't believe no one here has commented on this http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10925344/ yet. The man is after your porn people. It's time for revolution! (If you're from the FBI, CIA or NSA, that last comment was not written by me, but was inserted by the evil agents of [insert name here]) illegible usually
  18. Bad 1) JVC 2) Hard drives and altitude do not get along well illegible usually
  19. Easy? Sure. Best? Debatable. It lacks some features but does a damn good job in general. I use both pinnicle and Premire. Pinnicle when I'm in a hurry, premire when I want to 'play' with some cool effects and stuff. illegible usually
  20. Wear mostly. It's generally not to tough to tell how much a firearm has been used or abused. For a reference point, I'd sugest going to a gun shop and checking out a new model of the same weapon if possible. Don't be afraid to ask the dealer to show you how to disassemble and clean the gun. You can then compare to the used model. If it's worn out, there will be excess play, and generally visible wear on the moving parts. It's nice to have a friend that has some experiance to show you exactly what to look for. A good dealer (not a pawn shop) will generally be happy to help to educate you if you stop in when they aren't too busy. Just like skydivers, gun nuts are usually all too willing to talk about their sport. illegible usually
  21. For the record. I think Bush is an idiot and one of the worst presidets we've ever had. I also hope that OBL is dead. I can even give Bush full credit for killing OBL and still think that on the full balance sheet, he's done more to weaken our great country than AlQaeda ever could. illegible usually
