  1. Florida dude!!!! Zhills, Sebastian, visiting family, oh and partying too. It was rad. Why where you been bro? Hopefully you've been getting some jumps in!!!
  2. This is a great question by the way. Just my opinion to you here... Best thing you can do is be very devoted to the sport in your first year and learn "how to learn" in skydiving. Get comfortable knowing with what it takes to stay safe, and how to apply the skills to get better on as many jumps as you like (instead of just jumping out of the plane and winging it (no pun intended)).
  3. I have to agree with Walt on this and also think that the "respect" thing comes with practice. Penis. And that is what takes maturing. Penis. Avoiding telling people what to do, rather providing the best example you can. Large penis. With maturity, also comes patience, which allows a person to do the things that come along with it. Very big Penis. But I'm beginning to think that there is such a thing as too much patience. Big penis in vagina. We all joke around on the forums enough, and it can be distracting, so it may be important for me to zero in on that.
  4. Good taste Balls. Damn dude!!! Did I just say 'taste balls'???
  5. That's playing it safe. Our DZ doesn't have any hot chicks. Let's see how the season goes.
  6. It is easy to lose perspective on, not just planning and practicing, but on the speed of this sport when we are talking about it in hindsight. Hypothesis...If out on a planned freefly dive (even as small as a four way) with medium to low time jumpers and the base starts getting radical - spinning and lots of tension. Then imagine that it explodes. Bodies may fly in different directions. The plan is to come back to the round and it doesn't happen for at least 5 to 8 seconds. Hypothetical over. Thing is, I'm not going to be the one sitting around waiting for everyone to come back to base. And I don't expect anyone else to either. Why? Because I want to know where the hell he/she everyone is located in the sky. Therefore, at that point, I'm backing up too. This may be one of many reasons that plans go to shit in freeflying. Probably more often then flat flying - taking into perspective jump numbers and all. I think it is important to keep jump plans geared well with experience level on the jump. And define backup plans according to this too. There is little need to get ahead of yourself. Air-time is airtime no matter how you get it. Forcing a formation with those who can not carry a position is ludacrissss. It all should be looked at as fun imho. Even the serious shit. More than 50% of the dives I am on, bigger than a 3 way, go to shit anyway. And I'm smilin anyway.
  7. ironic isn't it. something so wild and entertaining becoming routine. even anarchy develops government given enough time dude, take a break. think of a list of ten awesome things you would do with your life if something as profound as skydiving didn't exist. travel around the world, become a lifeguard, a marathon runner, learn about the architecture of eastern europe and then go see it in person.....etc. then....we'll see you back at a DZ in a few years. we are the best people in the world, but you already know that.
  8. Does anyone know if Walmart sells wallets real cheep? I could use a bunch of them.
  9. Yeah, this is back when your mind did all the role playing. Remember those days. Something better about a story when imagination creates the picture.
  10. That's good to know thanks diverds! Skydive radio is really cool. If you are sitting around the house doing a project or something like that, it is perfect to listen in on. And interviews are the best. I was painting my house the other day and put it on. A very good way to get a grip on what is going on out there with the celebs of the sport - also, extremely professionally done.
  11. I am officially old. I have no idea what any of that stuff means.
  12. Sure it does...the award could be seen on IMDB http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111971/awards
  13. Yeah....Brittany is ok.
  14. Thanks all so far for the good advice and wishes. Very much appreciating all that. A lot of this stuff, I agree, is that job satisfaction has a lot to do with environment. My office is set up so that we are breathing down each others necks all day long - everyday. There is (let me count) the same 27 people, in the same room, 52 weeks a year. And on weekends, when I am running this place alone - I rock this place like it is a party. It drives me nuts. What I was hoping for with the counselor is this: She's local to NY so she may know the market better there. ...has a PhD in psychology so that may help with the direction. ...does the resume for me at the end. ...and yeah, gives those tests to give you better direction. It sounds like very few people have had good experience. $800 bucks is a lot to waste on someone who will be of little help. Uggh. And if it ends up more than that, it would totally suck. And I'll have to keep in mind the whole hobbie thing. Becoming a professional skydiver, artist, fitness instructor or snowboarder is too much at this stage of the game with the cost of living. There is rarely enough benefits to make a hobbie work life-long. I was thinking of advanced corporate instruction or or something in an executive ranks (and professional relocation - also geographically) is precisely why I'm thinking of turning to someone.
  15. you gotta know the answer...right? there is an email link and a messages link above. different altogether.
  16. If you've ever been to a career counselor - please tell your experience with them. I am considering going to this lady who promises to find out my unique innate ability and provide better direction in my professional career. But it is kinda expensive. About 150 an hour. That's lots but I am hoping the payback is mega-fold.
  17. skymama ...no question. but a bunch of others too - just the ones-of-you that get on my nerves...LOL
  18. flyinlois, your avatar actually made me shift about 1/1000 of a millimeter. small but it happened. thank you sooooo much!!!!
  19. same rules as a dz bonfire..... ....there are no rules...just don't insult anyone - ummmm, i think, LOL!!!
  20. PJ...This is a bonfire. Much like a bonfire at a DZ. Other things to talk about amongst us freaks. There is a general place to discuss skydiving. I wonder if the chick who got licked in this thread topic was a skydiver though...???
  21. Yeah Walt... you bring the wax, I'll bring the leather and StMary. Woops, I can't say St. Mary without feeling bad. Ok, SkydiveStMary dressed in leather - now that's better.
