  2. shit, i thought i was outta here for good but this: is BS. if you do not think that ignoring a mandatory SB is a violation of rules you are bullshitting yourself edit: I read you are a TI as well? so why don't you get the oldest vector without all the SB's and updates and take some students for a ride? still don't think that you are violating rules? 3. and my hit on this is: it should have been the damn job of the s&ta's to stop this behavior long before the above mentioned 20+ videos were put on a website. or do you want to say that these persons didn't have a fuckin clue to what was going on? after all s&ta's are safety and training advisers for crying out loud! i guess they'd better take their job serious but what do i care, i don't even live in the states... i'm outta here for good The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  4. i am certainly not into nitpicking, but with this statement you contradict yourself. the "stunts" performed by the TI in question are inherently more dangerous than a "normal" skydive/tandem-jump. if you deny this, you are either not trained as a TI or you lack the ability to see the possible outcomes as to this day, nothing has happened. luckily! but i am sure that if something had happened, there would be an even louder uproar and the skydiving world could consider itself lucky, if the turnout was less than another tandem-fatality i have no doubt, that this TI has outstanding skills for flying such maneuvers requires them. but no matter what you say or think: they were not safe and not a wise/clever thing to perform on a day to day base. edit to add: it was even more dumb to put this behaviour on public display on the website of the dz this TI works for. definitely not in the wake of two recent tandem-fatalities where the public is more likely to pay close attention on safety-issues concerning tandem-jumping. even more so as all this happened in sue-happy u.s.a. can you say negligent? but what do I know with my barely over 600 jumps anyway if you dismiss safety-concerns just because they are worded by jumpers with low jumpnumbers, this displays a true skygod-like mentality. second edit: so don't give me (or anyone else) more of the "skydiving is dangerous" crap... you are lying to yourself The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

  8. just four lines and there's so much in them - i wish more people would at least try to be "this guy/girl" great post, thanks! The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  9. nice post! i'll have to add one thing: if you are at 13 grand this normal bodily reaction will contribute to getting hypoxic - so there is no way the body is getting the oxygen it wants and your brain is really hungry for this stuff when under stress... 10. i can see where you are coming from in this. but i'll add my euro-cents to this: sometimes we have to speculate for the facts are not clear or known. sometimes speculations add vital points. so i don't think this would be practical well that is something i would wisch dz.commers would do on their own more often. but most of these off-spins have already been covered many times and most inhabitants of this website seem to be unwilling/unable/or to dim-witted to use the search function i would propose a ban on posters posting condolences in the incidents thread. seems far more practical and would eliminate this kind of "noise" in no time The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

  14. nice link only odd thing is the strong tandem rig with a drogue that looks like it belongs to a vector The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  15. did she tell you that you wasted her time and talk rude to you? no? didn't read that in your post. so quit giving yourself a hard time and get in the air again. obviously the lesson to learn was to relax. next time you jump out of an airplane, don't forget to smile and breathe - that makes a lot of things easier
  16. just some small pieces of advice: Stick to the book! The better the ground-prep the less trouble a student will make in free-fall It is your decision to end a (tandem)skydive (read: PULL) when things get way over your head - better open high and spend more time under canopy than having to cope with more shit Watch the side-spin video (yeah i know its from strong enterprises and you are into becoming a vector-rated TI) and learn from it. best to do is go for a solo and try to create a sidespin and recover from it - this is a big eye-opener gear up your student according to the manual (did i say stick to the book already?), you don't want to be the next TI loosing a passenger there's nothing like the smile of a passenger after landing blues - feuergnom The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

  18. There may have been an entanglement even if she had cutaway first. The bagged main still has to pass through the same path, whether the risers have been released or not. what i said - you can survive or die either way The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  19. not cutting away killed this experienced skydiver a PCIT is a nightmare to deal with, chances go in both directions: you can survive either action or get killed the same The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

  21. okay , before this thread deters much further: imho there is a big difference between knowing about inherent rsiks and acting accordingly and "being scared shitless", which in my book reads as "being paralysed and forgetting anything one has learned". maybe i am very harsh here, BUT (and this is a big "but" indeed) - if i ever become "scared shitless" i would consider this to be the best time to quit the sport. if you want to we can take this to pm's ok? The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  22. if you really feel this way, don't even think of becoming a TI. seriously. period. The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  23. no problem whatsoever, i'm not arguing over this point and i bet they will handle it in the best way possible The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  24. it has been mentioned already several times that strong enterprises is doing nothing about it. can we tell (afaik no strong-rep is posting on dz.com) for shure no action has been taken? no we can't. i am pretty shure that more than one strong-rated TI has already informed the company. i am also shure, that strong will not go public when pulling this guys license. does this make me, as a fairly new strong-rated TI, happy? hell no f***** way!
