  1. I have read the paragliders are usually organizing safety trainings/courses over lakes.
  2. How does a 9 cell PdF compare to a 7 cell PD?
  3. Well, there is a little difference. I have time under canopy about 120 seconds with Cobalt135(WL 1.7+) and 210-240 seconds with Spark170(WL 1.4+). I'd prefer to have worry free opening nad enough time to zip myself free. I can not see any point to jump a crossbraced with a dragsuit on .
  4. I'd push the nose in middle of the packjob, pull the slider in the front and roll the tail tight. Make sure the slider is against the stops before you close the d-bag.
  5. I had about 65 dives on a Pilot 150 around WL 1,5+, 3 on Spark 170 WL 1.4 and 1 on Cobalt 135 WL 1.6+.
  6. Not really. We have lower aspect ratio canopies and relatively shorter lines in skydiving. It is wise to keep lines loaded and looping is not really about that.
  7. How do you pack it? Are you talking about terminal or subterminal jumps?
  8. AFAIK the manufature of that material has some environmental impact which would not make it feasible to produce anymore. Do you like to have something else? Batemax? 8 bad tapes?
  9. That fabric in question is not in production anymore. What is your next move , Sir?
  10. I prefer to land canopies in flare than sink. You know: it was not a crash just a controlled flight into terrain.....
  11. It opens quite nice. I love how it flies.
  12. A typo of Silhouette, Ms PerfectlyGoodCopyPaste?
  13. They are not the same. I'd say Slihouette and Merit.
  14. Why do you think so? Successful packing is about having the material in control. IMHO method and skills are going together. Like this.
  15. I really don't think so. I know a newbie who has mastered packing his brand new Sabre2 in 10 jumps. I know another she was "playing" with it for 30-40 jumps and still packing for 20+ minutes.
  16. What is the manufacturer's recommendation about packing?
  17. True point, size does not matter.
  18. You might not able to dress the nose and the slider in the way you have to.....
  19. Well, not all the Sabre(1)s are opening hard. I would not say its opening soft just because of the way you bag it.
  20. This seems to be the usual way for ellipticals.
