That's interesting. I think that's still a piloting problem. Before you reinvent the wheel how about reading other's WNE chats? WL itself does not describe how a canopy flies is that safe or not. Downsizing Recommendations by Brian Germain Think about the WL of a Cessna 172, Airbus 321 and a F-16. Which one is safe? Manufacturers' publishing WL charts by canopies already. I'm wondering how can you improve something if you can't barely understand?

I'd rather stay away from that trick. I don't want to be the meat in a deadly wrap.

How long does Neptune save info after battery dies?

I'd rather ask this on alti-2 forums. They might have the right answer. Notice that a digital gadget is not a logbook. Do not trust it at all! -
I'd add one more: Its nice to know when to call off because of the weather/visibility conditions. Jumping with clear sky is rather easy. I've landed out once because there were 2 layers of clouds and I've found myself a bit futher and I could not fly back. I've decided to land with the plan when I got overcasted next time.

It would be nice if you would upload images with proper extenstions like .jpg .... at least easier to check them. Thanks!

Oh, You never can be enough prepared or paranoid...

What made you decide to quit the sport?

Why do you think they would read these forums after all? -
I have a VectorII. I got it with a PdF Merit 170. I used a Pilot 150 and a Cobalt 135 there. The Cobalt was on the loose side. I've seen CRW dogs stuffed canopies that H/C can be barely closed and having an extra long closing loop. I think its not black or white, but it should be safe.
-
What??? The d-bag is a part of the H/C. It should fit the H/C and your canopy should fit your d-bag. A rigger can tell if you canopy fit that rig, but by the picture it looks like in the right size.
-
I did both: Sabre2 170 vs Velocity. I can tell you that packing a slimy handkerchief sucks more. You can not even make a decent fold on it.
-
Or the canopy can be dry or you might gain more skill to leave less air inside

The connection between the harness and the risers.

Is there a blue slider on that thing?

Have you agree upon this shooting before? I do share my plane of landing if I know that someone wants to take pictures about it. They know where to expect me from. I think you did the right thing. I standing person is much better than a running person the swoop lane. He might have got some target fixation. Do you how is going with the kid on the bicycle and the tree? Its nice to hear that both of you is fine.

You know what? There is at least one chicken with most of the egg-shell on running around here evey or every second month and making noise you did. How about you get more jump and FFC than get back here?
-
I hope you could learn respect and patience easier than I did. It was jump #87 just a Navigator, just WL ~ 1.0 and just a broken ankle. The sky is not the limit but the ground is.

Do not walk around and do everything right for the first time. Crucial steps: -settings brakes and undo slider kill-line -continuity check -slider placement -closing the d-bag -routing the bridle, closing the container -cocking your kill-line PC

Take it easy! Trust your instructors! You can not learn everything with a single jump. You may find a canopy control training even for you level. You won't hurt yourself with those canopies you are allowed to jump unless you really really f0ck up.
-
Notice that every canopy is a compromise. What is a swiss army knife good for? We need the right tool for the purpose.
-
How about demo them? Do you have swooping in mind? Mamba has quite a short recovery arc or at least shorter than Katana.
-
Two-out is refered with 2 square canopy. You may deploy a cluster of round canopies..... I had some round jumps. There was no cut-away in EP.

triathlon: new trim config with old line set?
phoenixlpr replied to ljwobker's topic in Gear and Rigging
Can I see on the canopy's data card which line-set does it have? After what date of production can I expect the new line-set? thanks! -
You might try some track suit like Impact.
