Wrong. Just a little change in air pressure. There are little changes in pressure during the whole jump, so what makes it notice the pull? When you lose so much vertical speed that you cant do while still in freefall the Viso records it as you are under canopy. Its not magic, its a barometric device.

6' bridle vs 9' bridle comparison (S-bird)
phoenixlpr replied to trixonik's topic in Wing Suit Flying
"Are both of your containers Jav's or is the other one a different brand?" I got a VectorII and a Javelin TNJ. That's a theory. After went back for deploying from full flight my opening got better and I have not seen a knot on bridle anymore. -
6' bridle vs 9' bridle comparison (S-bird)
phoenixlpr replied to trixonik's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I use 2 rigs with WS: Triathlon160 with BirdMan PC, long bridle, 28" ZP, Cobalt135 with Crazer 24" ZP PC, normal bridle. When I started jumping Stealth I went back to student style opening with going vertical, the result was not so bright: one day I got knot on my long bridle twice. I open from flight since than. I got lots of jump with my other rig, Cobalt with normal bridle, 24" ZP PC. I got no hesitation problem at all. It opens as usual, that PC has ~300 jumps so far. I got about 100 jumps with a 32" F111 PC with -
I guess on round mains because of the wind and not misrigging.

6' bridle vs 9' bridle comparison (S-bird)

I think a 24 inch PC is too small, 28 to 30" should do the job Based on what? 24" ZP PC should be fine canopy size 150 and smaller. http://www.atairaerodynamics.com/FAQ.html#three -
Consider an unreliable data channel for download. What do you if you have your connection broken with XML in the middle? Broken XML document? With NMEA just a broken sentence....
-
Well if you can keep up if I fly with strait legs.
-
You can output some text format of your own and you can have a converter running on a smartphone or a computer using java, python, whatever...
-
Microcontrollers and XML do not mix too well.
-
Than write it out. http://www8.garmin.com/support/pdf/NMEA_0183.pdf Sure like something, something else... Anyway NMEA is a special case of CSV.
-
If you want to work with other GPS software you might have to speak their language. NMEA is simple and even a microcontroller can produce that. Anyway its quite straitforward to just dump "raw" GPS data. So? 1. why to log something if that can be cumputed from the rest of the data? 2. you can use your own extention if you wish. BTW CSV is not a format, just a way to dump some data.
-
NMEA Its a well known format and supported by lots of apps.

Recovery Arcs on intermediate canopies.

Vision may be, Mamba no. I got 2 demo jumps on Vision 132 some 4 ago. I remember I use to jump Pilot150 those days. The openings were more demanding and I had to fly it actively all the time. It was quite demanding. I started to fly my Cobalt135 a months after that demo. I was really happy with that. It felt more calm and less twitch than the Vision. I'd rather go for a size smaller semi-elliptical than than a classic elliptical like Stiletto or Vision. PD term like Navigator -> Navigator -> Sabre2 -> Sabre2 -> Katana -> Velocity -
Sure, with photoshop you can.

i-Blue 747A+ sits in my pocket, it does not matter where I wear.

I hope your "reserve packer" isn't the same guy who is packing your main!
-
We call them just reserve packers. How about 6?

http://trackingderby.com/ or using Google's Earth.

This is not skydiving, so who cares?
-
Well you can expect high performance opening from a high performance canopy. What is the big deal of having closed end-cells? On low WL it would not make canopy turn fast, on high WL you may balance it with harness.

USPA 200 skydives for WS . . . What's up around the world?

In Hungary: (FAI) IPC CoP „C” license needed. -
If I break down my opening don't feel significantly softer, but it less nice because the big burble behind me. For the original question: v(h) 100 Km/h, v(v) 80 Km/h , means only 128.06 Km/h. My terminal speed is about 190-200Km/h. WS opening fells softer, slower than opening from terminal speed.
-
I use to jump a bullet cam. 200g extra on my helmet. Yeah, that's the theory. I can tell you, I don't kiss my knees on opening.
-
Really? I do open from full flight most of the time. Even I have lots of forward speed (130-150 Km/h) still open softer than opening from terminal velocity. I jump a Triathlon160 with wing suit. When I deploy my PC it feels like a speed break or anchor than it turns into a canopy.
