  1. So? I had 2 high speed mal on those and Im not willing to jump those bitches anymore. Thank you! If it makes you happy . I had jumps on RS4/A , round main from DDR, but it was not so bad.
  2. Toggles look simple for you, but you are not authorized to assemble or maintain skydiving rig with a rigging license. We can change rubber bands and closing loops. Try to understand that a skydiving rig is just a life saving device for some people in this sport. some of them has no interest how to fly them or even how to pack them.
  3. That means that you should be able to do a gear check and might even pack a main for yourself. So what are we talking about?
  4. PdF Magic reserve. I had to use half brakes to keep it flying strait. If it would have been a main Id cut it away, but I had to land that sh.t.
  5. Been there, done that. Mine got lost for 2-3 weeks and was exposed to the sun. It could have been dropped into a lake too. Do you happen to have more spare life? The rest is just money. Would I hesitate? Not for a single moment.
  6. Don't forget that manufacturers are not measuring their canopies in the same way . There can be even 1 size difference between a X170 and a Y170.
  7. You should be right. I meant 2 by sides.
  8. How about when someone empty your bank account or stole your identity and push you in bankruptcy? Is that close enough? You don't have to know all the details, but you have to realize if something is different and ask people who know more about those things.
  9. Do you have to take a test in mechanics for getting a driving license? Do you have to take a test in electronics in order to be allowed to use a computer?
  10. So? I had 2 high speed mal on those and Im not willing to jump those bitches anymore.
  11. First was packed by a 200 jump wonder. It was a streamer in size of the slider on Saturday afternoon. My reserve got packed and I pack the main under supervison. I got the same shit on Sunday's first load. I have not seen or jumped that bitch anymore.
  12. You are just like the recording industry - whining about money you never get and never would get.
  13. Challenger 300+ sqft 9cell F111 main. 2 total mal from 2 terminal opening. I have not tried anymore.
  14. I did it, although the second approach was not as soft as the first use to be. 90 degrees turn on front risers, going low, hittnig the brakes, bouncing back from gravel and pop up 3 meters.
  15. BTW Is teaching someone how to pack coaching? I have seen and done teaching packing for new jumpers as a student.
  16. Notice the difference between an istructor and a coach.
  17. It can have something with the lines and the center of gravity of the system: under the leading or trailing edge.
  18. I jump a Cobalt 135. It was not a big change compared to Pilot150 except its more sensitive on body position on opening. I have compared in size. Both have the same wingspan, but Cobalt has 4 tapered cells, Pilot has only 2. I can not stall it with toggles, it flies stable even in deepest brakes although end cells a bit turned backwards. It is flying really nice and stable @ WL 1.6. I would not have anything against jumping a Cobalt
  19. Any popular 7 or 9 cell square + Firebolt maybe . There is no Cobalt in 190.
  20. You'd rather jump with a canopy less sensitive on opening. There is a reason behind that some canopies not on the list of recommended under 250 or 500 or whatever number of jumps. Although there are "full elliptical" canopies recommended even for lower jump numbers by the manufacturer. E.g. Firebolt, Cobalt.
  21. ???? Like 5m x 0.5m place? It should really small. Put a carpet under your canopy before bagging. Use a humidifier, because packing a dry canopy sucks big time.
  22. If you add ambulance, air-lift, medical costs and lost income.... it might not be the right deal for you. Get a square platform for yourself.
  23. No surprise that you are slow. Don't stress, do it like [ url "http://spidernest.ath.cx/gallery/packing2006" ]this[/url]. You may practice packing at home for free.
