Mounted GPS Antenna on Frap Hat. Comments?
phoenixlpr replied to efs4ever's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
???? It would work as good in your packet too. I mounted my GPS on the neck side of my helmet. -
Connector belongs to the canopy.
-
I have a Cobalt. I can open even from track and it opens soft as usual.

Do you consider yourself a good "Spotter"?
phoenixlpr replied to Legs's topic in Safety and Training
Oh, I had my first night jump and night spotting last Friday. Its a bit different in night time. -
Well, we don't know that, you should know better.
-
what was the worst canopy youve ever jumped?
phoenixlpr replied to caspar's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
LOL. Its not really fair against him. -
Why do you need tips? Is there any issue? Just RTFM and do is so!

That's interesting. [ url "http://www.flightconcepts.com/rage.html" ]Where is your Rage 150? [/url] ??? All I see is Rage 140 and Rage 155. -
Is there a link for downloading any manuals?
-
Heh? Thanks, my brakes are fine. Longer? I can fly minutes in deepest brakes. I have jumped other canopies I could stall with brakes. I have soft landing with both, so its a win-win.
-
It could be in the manual of the reserve. Although I could not locate r-max manuals.
-
How about your landing accuracy? What is the point going faster if you don't know where are you going to end up?
-
I can not stall my Pilot or Cobalt either in full brakes ....
-
So you state the PD's R&D department is called Aerodyne? Nice joke.
-
Aerodyne claims that Pilot is a new design.

I would not consider someone not really willing to pay a customer of yours. If he realy want to use your server he will use it anyway. I could be a realy ugly competition for your pacing business: sometime I pack for free

Try to search for miniforce..... like this

Do you consider yourself a good "Spotter"?
phoenixlpr replied to Legs's topic in Safety and Training
What I have seen: We throw a steamer and watch where it was landing and than find a landmark we fly over in the wind and another we jump out when we passed and higher winds should be taken into consideration if we don't jump a low altitude hop and hop. It gets a bit more complicated with more people, groups of different discipline and longer jump runs from bigger planes. Usually everyone can not have perfect spot, just good enough. On the other side, I was flying with a pilot where it was close to imposible to give effective correction, because he turned the plane in the jumprun so late . -

Define good spotting! Is that just and only spotting this time? Or organizing a load for 14+ people from a plane? -
Video from Sony HC 40 w/o firewire
phoenixlpr replied to steveorino's topic in Photography and Video
Or buying a miniDV camera on eBay which has broken optics, but good mechanics and dv-out. -
swoop? ~ flying close proximity with an object The usual case is flying close to the ground as long as we can(with a skydiving canopy).

Sure. Take an analog capture card and connect to the video/audio out of the camera or play that tape back on any other miniDV camcorder. -

???? I hope at least you would know what are you talking about. -
Like anyone here who passed C license test and able to check and pack their gear. They have to solve a mess of lines without cutting the main away of course. You don't have to be to assemble a kill line PC, but you have to be able to see if it is broken. Same goes for the 3 ring too.
