  1. Yeah, because JAG officers man burn pits.
  2. Question. Would Europe be closer or further away from their gas needs if they fracked as much as they could?
  3. Sorry, I got a time out for suggesting you lived in your mother’s basement, because you didn’t seem concerned with the price of electricity. I reckoned it was because someone else was paying your bills. That said we are still well below the hurricane season predicted by the “experts”
  4. When you move out of your mom’s basement and start paying your own bills you might have a different take on the matter of price. BTW didn’t you say I could only handle one thing at a time?
  5. Wow, a lot of hate out there in Leftie Land tonight but I guess that is what happens when your dream of net-zero crumbles as the promises of the Paris Accord fall like dominoes.
  6. https://electrek.co/2022/03/23/how-insulation-and-heat-pumps-could-cut-the-uks-and-other-countries-need-for-russian-gas/
  7. Not enough to meet demand, hence the reversal on fracking.
  8. Really? “Average UK electricity prices per kWh averaged around 18.9 p/kWh in 2021, but will be closer to 51 p/kWh by the end of 2022; this is according to the latest data from the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy” vs 12 cents in Texas
  9. I didn’t make up anything https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2022/sep/5/the-ignorant-mobs-climate-crisis-is-a-hoax/?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=SocialFlow
  10. I didn’t mention price so you must have confused me with Gowlerk (who did). I would think that reliability would also be a consideration.
  11. Everyone keeps saying that however if it were true GB would be building more windmills and solar panels instead of reversing on fracking and doubling down on the North Sea oil and gas fields.
  12. When did I say conservativeS? I credited the current PM for the course correction no one else.
  13. Than why aren’t they using wind and solar if it was way better?
  14. Your “reasoning” is convoluted and torturous
  15. Oil companies are fracking more not less https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/us-oil-producers-ramp-up-fracking-sign-stronger-output-gains-2022-01-12/ And I live in the Marcellus shale formation and we have dozens of wells here in Happy Valley. And to take Skydekker’s “excellent” analogy one step further… yes anti cancer drugs aren’t without side effects but they are better than dying of cancer. Just like fracking is better than energy poverty and freezing to death.
  16. Isn’t fracking a way to get natural gas? Isn’t natural gas a fossil fuel? Aren’t fossil fuels blamed for the imaginary problem of global warming? Wasn’t the overblown threat of tiny earth tremors just an excuse to ban fracking by the environmentalists wackos? Seems that that imaginary threat has also abated in the face of a genuine energy crisis.
  17. It’s seem more realistic than: volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, war in Syria, depressed dogs, increase the incidence of rape, humans being turned into hobbits, snakes as large as buses and childhood obesity.
  18. Facts “From 1967 through 2021, winter snow cover in the northern hemisphere increased slightly. There’s been no change in hurricane or cyclone frequency or intensity since 1980. From 1954 through 2018, the incidence of violent and strong tornadoes in the US decreased. According to the U.S. EPA, from 1895 through 2020 there was no increase in drought in the conterminous U.S. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, wildfire burnt area in the U.S. has decreased significantly. Climate-related deaths and the costs of weather-related disasters are both decreasing. The polar bear population is increasing. We’ve been lectured incessantly that climate change will destroy coral reefs. Yet a few weeks ago we learned that two-thirds of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia had the highest growth and expansion recorded in the last 36 years.”
  19. More than just her, and you know it. Being purposely obtuse is not a good look for you.
  20. And as bad as Texas is, apparently California is even worse https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/state/texas-news/main-reason-so-many-californians-move-to-texas/287-241575db-746c-4528-bd86-55576e8a526b
  21. Let’s get back to discussing how GB opted to depend on fracking and drilling and not on shining and blowing.
