  1. Agreed, however the preventative medicine prescribed by the alarmists involves applying leaches to our economy and pocketbooks. Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease.
  2. You and BillV missed the question marks. I was incredulous of Jakee’s contention that Bill’s post about gangrene was analogous to mine about energy transition.
  3. “The WNBA players found gaining access to the jail far easier than anticipated. "Frankly, no one seemed to notice us whatsoever," said Ms. Hamby. "It was eerily like playing in a WNBA game.” https://babylonbee.com/news/wnba-players-rescue-mission-foiled-as-key-to-griners-cell-hanging-ten-feet-above-ground
  4. I don’t agree with cancel culture no matter who does it. I just think it is funny when Hollywood spends nearly a hundred million dollars on an overtly woke themed movie and are so embarrassed by it, that it bypasses straight-to-video and goes straight to the garbage can.
  5. It’s sort of like the WNBA, disinterest nothing more.
  6. https://cosmicbook.news/marvel-fans-reject-she-hulk-par-captain-marvel She Hulk complains about getting unsolicited complements and then complains about not being able to complain.
  7. “Sure, compound fractures are "bad" and medical scaremongers will be all "oh but infection" "won't heal well" "oh but gangrene." But until it's amputated there's no catastrophe to worry about.” is analogous to “We don’t need to spend billions of dollars to make an energy transition. We went from wood to charcoal to coal to oil to natural gas without spending hundreds of billions of dollars.” ??? I think YOU need to look up the definition of analogy.
  8. straw man /ˌstrô ˈman/ noun 1. an intentionally misrepresented proposition that is set up because it is easier to defeat than an opponent's real argument.
  9. We don’t need to spend billions of dollars to make an energy transition. We went from wood to charcoal to coal to oil to natural gas without spending hundreds of billions of dollars. 20 years ago President George W. Bush announced $1.2 billion in research funding so that “America can lead the world in developing clean, hydrogen-powered automobiles.” Where did that go? If you can’t see the pigs lining up at the “transition trough” you need a stronger prescription.
  10. BillV says: “Mounting deaths from heat waves, melting of glaciers and ice caps, emptying reservoirs, out of control wildfires, worsening storms, loss of crops to drought, crippling drought restrictions, much larger precipitation events, insurance company panics over climate change, military warnings about the security threats of climate change, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria and the literal melting of infrastructure” Sounds like a catastrophist to me.
  11. Slim King since you are new here let me introduce you to the members of Speakers Corner. I am the one with the top hat. I get banned for a month by Wendy at the end.
  12. I’m only responsible for my posts, I was just giving him a heads up before he takes a seat in the church of climate panic.
  13. All you are going to get from these guys is deflection, denial and ad hominem attacks. (As illustrated in the last four posts). To them, catastrophic man made, global warming is their religion and you are a heretic.
  14. More deaths from cold than heat, ice caps and glaciers still here despite years of failed predictions that they would not be, reservoirs empty (and fill) it's kind of what they do, storms, floods, droughts and wildfires are not outside the range of natural historical variability, crop production is at record levels, and the rest is what you correctly attribute to panic. pan·ic1 /ˈpanik/ noun sudden uncontrollable fear or anxiety, often causing wildly unthinking behavior.
  15. Nothing has changed, other than the hyperbole has gotten more hyperbolic.
  16. Just where are the first signs of trouble? Oooh! Let me guess. A 98% reduction in climate related deaths?
  17. Al Gore told us: “scientists say the Arctic will be ice fee in the summer of 2013”
  18. Just where is he wrong? Are the ice caps gone? Polar bears extinct? Large parts of Florida under water? Kilimanjaro snow cap gone? Glacier National Park glacier free? Great Barrier Reef devastated? He gave you lots of targets, try to hit one. (I’m guessing you will try to set up a straw man and or resort to a lame Ad hominem attack)
  19. No sense in arguing with these guys (other than for entertainment). The same folks who try to wrap themselves in the mantle of science when it comes to climate are the same ones who think men can get pregnant.
