  1. Wow! That looks just like Florida’s graph. https://youtu.be/EiUcY4dECqA Replace “bear patrol” with lockdowns
  2. Where the hell did I claim that? I’m just pointing out the demonstrable fact that lockdowns have a marginal impact on covid. The benefit is small/negligible while the damage is significant
  3. Looks like someone gets their education on societal issues from a book/movie. Does “Little Fires Everywhere” ring a bell?
  4. My kids are more concerned about the Tower of Terror than with COVID. My youngest brother is down in Florida now with his family, but they are at Universal. He says the place is packed and they have to wait in line for more than an hour for the rides. The bars and restaurants are busy and yet COVID cases continue to plummet. Seems that not locking down is working just as well as lockdowns and without the collateral damage.
  5. Do you know the meaning of “anecdotal”?
  6. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/lsu-ignored-multiple-sexual-assault-allegations-against-football-players-for-several-years-per-report/ are you?
  7. Student athlete = privilege Just ask the football team
  8. I posted the quote from a “denier” knowing that you would be triggered into an attack on my veracity, only to subsequently quote the Nature article directly. Any quibbles with my wording I will just chalk up to a distinction without a difference.
  9. From the article in Nature “It is indefensible to continue to rely on past short-term trends, which have since disappeared, as evidence of a large influence of Arctic warming on mid-latitude winter climate and extreme weather” That sound just like what I said.
  10. “Creig Vizena, president of the Oaklin Springs Cemetery Association, told CNN affiliate KATC that he was ashamed to learn about how the Semien family had been treated. The woman who turned them away was in her 80s and has since been "relieved of her duties,” One, now fired, eighty some year old white woman is an example of pervasive and institutional racism?
  11. The “it’s cold because it’s warm” theory has been debunked. “The polar vortex theory takes a beating: The claim a warm Arctic is behind the brutally cold winter conditions at the mid latitudes is shown by a Nature study to be scientifically baseless.”
  12. I’m not saying there is no racism, there is and is found all across the planet in every country and in every race. I am saying the concept of “white privilege” is a myth. As far as systemic racism? That would be the policies pushed by Democrats which resulted in the destruction of the Black nuclear family. That is not “white privilege” that is two parent privilege. “in 1964, only 7% of American children were born out of wedlock, compared to 40% today. As Jason Riley has noted, “the government paid mothers to keep fathers out of the home—and paid them well.” https://ifstudies.org/blog/family-breakdown-and-americas-welfare-system
  13. I would ask you all to re-read Darius11’s post. (sfzombie you can ask him how much money he got to”sell out”)
  14. I agree, the Jussie Smollett incident is a perfect example. A person commits a horrible fraud, impugning a group of less privileged individuals and walks away scot free because of his privilege.
  15. The reason real, long-lasting change takes a verrrrrrrry long time is because when folks claim victim status and blame their lot in life on others instead of taking responsibility for their own actions/inactions, change is slow to come. Someone needs to tell my old platoon sergeant about white privilege and someone needs to let my wife know about the patriarchy because, clearly, they never got the message.
  16. It just makes me sad to see MLK Jr’s dream undermined by a bunch of “woke” white folks. “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
  17. I fully acknowledged “privilege”, it just has nothing to do with a lack of melanin.
  18. I am not denying privilege, it exists. There is the privilege of education, there is the privilege bestowed by hard work, there is the privilege of deferred gratification (look up marshmallow test) there is the privilege of culture, there is the privilege of class, (Obama’s children will have opportunities my kids will never have), there is the privilege of genetics (ask Gronk and Aaron Donald) there is the privilege of geography, but to say that a Winter Hill gang member has it better than IceT is just pure nonsense.
  19. It’s like climate change. It’s everywhere, it’s devastating but it is also invisible.
  20. You obviously didn’t watch the rest of the video where the black guy debunks WP as well.
  21. Nobody thought halftime was weird?
  22. Biden did Democrats did not. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/huge-catastrophe-democrats-grapple-congressional-state-election-losses-n1248529
