NG accounts for about half of TX electricity not 70%. And we have more than a century’s worth of fossil. No need to wean just yet.
-
38%>12%. Natural gas outperformed all renewables. The situation would have been much much worse if Texas relied on renewables more than they already do. A cautionary tale to be sure.

I played Rugby for mine, made it to the Final Four, 1989, look it up.

https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2021/02/what-happened-in-texas.php “As everyone knows, some natural gas pipelines froze, contributing to the blackout. However: Remarkably, natural gas still generated electricity at 38 percent of its total capacity throughout the energy emergency – providing on average over 65 percent of all electricity generation through Monday and Tuesday – despite roughly 30 GW being inoperable due to frozen pipelines holding up fuel. It was the “green” energy sources that failed to show up for work: The three worst-performing generating assets, on the other hand, belonged exclusively to renewable energy sources: solar, hydro, and wind. Had Texas been even more reliant on these energy sources, as renewable energy advocates around the country desire, the energy crisis in Texas would have been even worse.”

I said men an women, not any particular man or woman. Here is some education “The women were approximately 52% and 66% as strong as the men in the upper and lower body respectively. The men were also stronger relative to lean body mass.” https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8477683/ Given your sensitivity to this issue, I’m going to guess you never bench pressed more than 225lbs.

Now you se the problem with paraphrasing a perceived implication. I just wanted to be as comprehensive as possible with my reply. Biological females are not as strong as biological males. Trans females are just as strong as biological males. There is even one that is/was a Navy SEAL.

Tesmanian? Sounds totally in biased. From your article: “renewable energy sources, which are for back-up use, account for only 10% of the state's energy system” Total fabrication, Texas relies on wind for about a quarter of its energy needs and half of it failed. A much higher failure rate than coal and natural gas .

Did you have an S&TA? And wouldn’t that be WSBKS, or WBKS?
-
Sorry buddy, but men (on the whole) are stronger than women. That’s just science. It has nothing to do with self-worth, or misogyny. Misogyny is saying trans women “aren’t really women at all”. That is rather bigoted.

I’m a relative cherry with only about 5k, but I have been around through a lot of transition. I remember the WFFC in 98/99 a couple of buddies and I were demoing the early Xbraced canopies. We decided they had incredible performance but their openings were less than good. Just as Jazz and I were wavering, Sporto spoke up and reminded us of the that we were the beneficiaries of those who came before us and it was now out turn to pick up the torch, we did. It was scary, it was dangerous, but so was jumping surplus WW2 gear. The world needs throttles and it needs breaks.

1992, I learned at the foot of Dave DeWolf and was regaled with stories of the old days. My first jump was in ‘82 and I have been in the community ever since.

When one factors in cloud cover and shortened daylight hours it changes the calculus, snow cover is not the only consideration. Not to mention this example was in near freezing temperatures. Let’s see how it deals with 24” of snow and sub zero temps

You guys luvs you some straw men. BTW if that was the early mindset, skydiving would not exist. The scared whiners came later. To be fair, the scared whiners did play crucial role in the mainstreaming skydiving but if they were there in the beginning, the sport would have been killed in the cradle. Innovation, discovery and pushing the envelope are domains of the bold, not the timid. When the nannies made skydiving more safe, the bold discovered swooping, BASE and wing suits. Then came rules to keep those people from killing themselves and others. A good thing. Each side needs the other to move forward, so let’s not be dicks about it.

If you mean metaphorically than yes, but if you mean literally than no. (Unless you include trans women, than yes, plenty)

Carry a woman carrying a child?

RBG = progressive icon Rush = Conservative icon Republicans won because they won at the ballot box and did exactly what their constituency wanted. If you think for one second that the Democrats would not have done the same if the roles were reversed, you are delusional.

It’s not bad it is just effeminate
-
If you are confused if effeminate is an insult or not, try the dictionary ef·fem·i·nate /əˈfemənət/ Learn to pronounce adjective DEROGATORY (of a man) having or showing characteristics regarded as typical of a woman; unmanly. "he lisps and his handshake is effeminate"

Really Wendy? Another member calls me a racist and a f*cking C*unt and tells me to get my head out of my fourth point of contact and you guys don’t flinch. (I got a ding and a time out for saying “birds of a feather”) I post a picture of a non-effeminate man and you get all triggered. Sorry but if you conflate trolling with truth, it is you that has the problem, not me.

The weather in Florida is just fine, and the reduction in covid continues.

No really, FIG, Fort Indiantown Gap is between State College and Newark DE, I will be staying at the Shades of Green on the Disney resort and have to show my military I.D.. My current one is trashed from using it to open doors.

No that egghead pays me to take care of his problems. Anyway I had to stop halfway to get my military ID replaced prior to our Disney trip, so not a total waste
