I think it sucked. bad casting first of all. Started out good, if a bit slow. Uma Thurman (aka The Stick) as a cold blooded super ninja? I doubt she could lift a sword. her ineptitude in fighting was seen quickly in the fight against the black woman. Good thing they realized she needed a double. The blood spray was like the film Braindead by Jackson. Only difference was that Tarantino had hidden the pipes the blood came from. Script was unimaginative, repetitive, illogical and tedious. There was nothing new about it - huge disappointment to me since Tarantino previously has succeeded in bringing enjoyment through being very imaginative. And why settle for a stupid sword when you can have a Big Fucking Gun? And a real travesty is the death of that Chinese actor who's done billions of fight films. (the main man of the 88 posse). Die like that? It's ALMOST as bad as the death of Darth Maul, which is *the worst death ever*. Huge disappointment for me Santa Von GrossenArsch I only come in one flavour ohwaitthatcanbemisunderst

The absolutely worst thing that can happen right now is that the US pulls out before the job is done. Whether you supported the war or not, this is true. Early pullout will lead to civil war and a breeding ground for terrorists. And a huge propaganda victory for terrorists. A failure in Iraq will affect all of us and we've just seen that Al Qaeda don't give a shite about what they hit, as long as people die. The US miscalculated big time (if they calculated at all) regarding post-war Iraq. Now I just hope the US has the stamina to salvage the situation, which appears to progress forward only very slowly. And it would be helpful if other nations participated more actively in the rebuilding of Iraq. We've had time to say "IToldYouSo" now and the US has learned a lesson about pissing on the advice/will of friendly nations. Now is the time for Europe and the rest of the world to think about Iraq instead of prestige. Santa Von GrossenArsch I only come in one flavour ohwaitthatcanbemisunderst

I usually agree with you Michele, but what you're saying here is that you condone mental torture. Torture was widespread in Europe a few hundred years ago. it was recognized as a good method for extracting informationl The inquisition and other episodes proved, however, that it wasn't very good when it came to extracting *reliable* information. Break someone and they'll say anything to get away from the physical or mental pain. Break a man's legs and he'll heal. Break a man's spirit and he's in dire straits. What West was trying to say was "I'll shoot yer brains out if ya don't start talking *right now*". The prisoner clearly understood the warning and spilled his guts. His method was effectively employed by the Germans and Soviets in WWII. Unfortunately it had a rather high failure rate and lead to family members sentencing their own blood to die - simply because they just wanted out of the torment and the torturers wanted certain answers. Andy McNab, a british former SAS soldier, has experienced torture on his own body. he's a tough mofo, but even he said that it doesn't matter HOW tough you are. It's only a matter of time until you tell them what they want - or what you think they want to hear. In his case he managed to sell them a false story. US lives were saved as a consequence of West's actions. If the ends justify the means then ti follows that Iraqis, the Taliban and any other force also should be allowed to use torture to extract information that *might* help save the lives of *their* comrades. Which, in the end, will mean that captured US troops will be subjected to horrifying experiences. But it's ok, because it might save lives, yes? Rethorical question, that last one. What I am saying; one must apply the behaviour in question to everyone and THEN consider whether it's a good idea. Personally, I cannot condemn the guy. I'd done the same thing. I wouldn't have pushed it much farther though, but that's how I'm mentally made up. Knowing that I'm probably moderate when it comes to this, I think it's a good idea to have rules ot permitting excess abuse. Hm, I fear losing my siblings. More specifically my sister, since she is more exposed to risk. We're very much alike and I wouldn't know how to have fun if she wasn't around. Second fear after that is becoming paralyzed from neck down or some other horrendous thing like major disease. Then another fear is of not being alive. The rest is small stuff compared to the above. Glad to hear you're ok. Sounds like a very serious situation. You were very lucky to have friends/loved ones around you. Now, how do I get invited to your parties? "It's not a parrty if it (or I) can't kill ya" and all that Santa Von GrossenArsch I only come in one flavour ohwaitthatcanbemisunderst

Well, here it is - Santa's Guide To Immaturity. Or more of general suggestions, rather. These are just the first ten, in no order whatsoever. One of these days I'm gonna publish all of them. Since I am not alone (fortunately) in the Mentally Youthful Group, I'll ask those of us who can write to add theirs. Those who've not learned to read or write should get a friendly RWer to help them out. Just hug one and tell him/her you love him/her lots and lots and lots and that should be enough. 1) Water puddles after it has rained have one purpose only - to me stomped, jumped on and splattered around. Preferrably when you're out with people you want to impress. If you don't have an urge to jump one, or even worse, avoid them, you're in serious trouble. It can be fixed however. 2) Smile a lot. The adults will think you're up to no good but will have no idea about what it is. Remember; the prime objective of the Immature is to piss off those lacking this most divine of qualities. 3) Wear different coloured socks. If someone asks, say "Another positive one!" followed by telling them that you've figured only stupid people ask about socks anyway and you want to confirm your theory. 4) Playgrounds are just that. They're to be used. if no other Adult Children are around, you can usually be a bully and get all the good stuff for yourself. Take advantage of that. 5) Shiny things rule. Collect them. 6) Dead animals have a place in every home. Insist on bringing home (or to the DZ) any roadkills you stumble upon (or even better: seek out) and ask RW fliers to bring them to life. if they fail, ask them questions about the afterlife for such animals, beginning each question with "...but how does THAt work?" 7) Place used lollipops and chewing gum in strategic places. The roof of the plane is a good place. De-fluff them on the back of mature people, taste 'em, smack your lips and offer the treat around. Grownups will refuse, whcih gives you information on which silver handles to pull. 8) A mark of an adult is colour coordination and good taste when it comes to dressing. In a perfect world you should be allowed to walk around as God created you. Unfortunately adults are fuzzy about nudity, so make sure you wear a stained t-shirt. 9) "No" means "yes" after two hours of nagging. 10) Tripping on someone's lines when they're packing is usually an accident. Getting away with it 15 times in a day is an art. Santa Von GrossenArsch I only come in one flavour ohwaitthatcanbemisunderst -

Ok, so I get the flower pattern on the side of the legs? Roses, yeah? Shite, I think I am actually gonna order that. It'll drive some of my friends who are rather...intolerant...of other sexual preferences than the "natural" ones a bit angry. I bet I'll be invited into lots of girls tents too, since they'd consider me a non threat. Wolf in lamb's skin. Oh yes, it's all coming together nicely now Santa Von GrossenArsch I only come in one flavour ohwaitthatcanbemisunderst

Have tried that. "ooh, just a wee bit further out so the others can... "...watch my flailing arms and legs as I fall off the plane". Was fun though . Santa Von GrossenArsch I only come in one flavour ohwaitthatcanbemisunderst -

It's taken me many years to become this immature Santa Von GrossenArsch I only come in one flavour ohwaitthatcanbemisunderst -
Well, Fluffy (my main, a Safire 149) is a very nice. It has a nice light blue colour that crashes perfectly with the colour nuances of the rig. Not sure about the colour of the reserve, but I think it's a white Mayday. Am ordering a free fly suit soon. So, right now I'm trying to work out what colours it should be for maximum overall effect. Ideas? Oh yeah; since I'm a bum I won't shy away from actually trying out any and all suggestions . Santa Von GrossenArsch I only come in one flavour ohwaitthatcanbemisunderst

Heh Faber, what was that guy thinking when he ordered the rig? Was he on LSD? Actually it got sold to Rudbeck, then to my sister and now to me. Fits great, so I'm happy :D. CrazyIvan; had to choose between handbag and Barbie. And I already had a barbie Santa Von GrossenArsch I only come in one flavour ohwaitthatcanbemisunderst

You need a "have no f*cking clue, bud" option. For those of us who haven't experienced it but are ever so optimistic Santa Von GrossenArsch I only come in one flavour ohwaitthatcanbemisunderst

Agh bro, am just yanking yer chain here - there's absolutely not a shred of seriousness in my post. I'll make better use of smileys in the future. FWIW, I even like some of that Goth crap . Dinnae mean to offend anyone, so if I ruffled some feathers, I apologize. Santa Von GrossenArsch I only come in one flavour ohwaitthatcanbemisunderst

So. Went to DZ; clouds close in. No jumps. (Un)fortunately a friend had a digital camera so I decided to make good on my promise of taking some pics of my somewhat ehhm....colourful...rig. It came with a handbag in matching colour, so I'm all set to go. Oh yeah; I need a haircut and I need to learn that yer s'pposed to look at the camera. But I'm a bum, so you get what you get. THIS rig is my only possible chance for semi-famousness. At least it tends to get people's attention. Notice the nice text on it . Am the Count Of Coolness with this on, I tell ya. No Macho Man has anything on me. Santa Von GrossenArsch I only come in one flavour ohwaitthatcanbemisunderst

Can't believe someone haven't mentioned Always Look On the Bright Side of Life (Monty Python). You guys are such angsty teenies. Oh woe the pain of life! C'mon! I couldn't let such targets pass! Don't blame ME. Just hope it won't rain. The mascara running from Goth faces here would dye the ocean black. Which is sorta like good if you like any versions of Stones' "Paint it black". Oh no! It's happening to me too! Ah, but I must weep tears of razors now, and surely my existence is but a spit upon canvas spraypainted with existential angst! 1 hour 3 minutes to next lift. Race ya? Repeat after me, young brat: I Am Not My Jump Number You'll get it once you reach puberty. And Noooooo, absolutely NO jealousy whatsoever . I am VERY happy that I waited so fucking long before I started this sport. NO regrets about not starting early. Nope. None. AndIDon'tWannaTalkAboutIt. Now go away LALALALALALA Santa Von GrossenArsch I only come in one flavour ohwaitthatcanbemisunderst -
I found that closing my eyes when doing it helped a lot . Of course, i do the same thing if I'm driving a car and a little cute kid runs in fron of it. By not seeing the actual impact I can then pretend that the blood came from a really big mosquito. Seriously though, I get a wee bit of forward speed going by stretching my legs, tuck in one arm and dip the shoulder. Works for me. It's really fun too - blue green blue green blue green
