Just out of curiosity (not a flame or meaning to be offensive): how far would you be willing to go? If you possibly could save 4 US soldiers by doing what West did, would you do it? If there was a 50/50 chance that you could get info that might save 4 US soldiers lives by beating up a prisoner severly, would you? Same as above, but to possibly get the information, you'd have to cut off the arms and use lighters and cigarette butts, would you? 20/80 chance. You're not sure you got the right guy, but if you do you could save 4 men from an ambush, would you beat the prisoner to within an inch of his life, then pull out his teeth, cut off his fingers, chop off his nose and ears, let his wounds fester, apply electricity to his genitals before cutting them off, open up his bowels and make a knot on them... would you? Just want to thank everyone for their suggestions and advice. 36 hours now (lol). If I start now, I gotta do those 36 hours all over some day. I feel odd today. Didn't get too much sleep yesterday. Norway, Spain and the Swiss Alps are places that are really nice in Europe. Well, southern France is pretty nice too. Italy is ok except it's full of Italians . I'd suggest that you see some of the "non-English" parts of Europe as well. 23 people in my FJC. Me and two others continued on (and one of them isn't done with AFF). I guess people want to be able to say "I went skydiving/am a skydiver". Or simply see if they can overcome their fears - ONCE. The ones with true guts are the ones who do it again and again, jump after jump. Heh, true enough. yet a couple of years ago there was a strike of sorts and bread became rare for a bit. i saw people fighting over what was available - literally. And these were ordinary decent moral housewives! Any society is about three meals from a revolution. Would be cool to launch 5 ultralights to get a FS dive though . You'll love the jump. It's hugely amusing to be spinning around out of control for a while and then just arch and whoopd, there you haev control again. It'll give ya loads of confidence too. You'll begin to do stuff that might be a bit unstable and you'll know you have the know how to get stable again. Best of luck and have fun

Heh, I've gotten some amusing responses: "Oh, I doubt it is worth all the hassle. I mean waiting, then riding a cramped plane for 30 minutes, landing, then having to pack. Like an hours work for 60 seconds - how can that be worth it?" I usually respond that "it must be *really* good to be worth it given all that or people wouldn't do it, right?" And another pal simply said "doesn't seem exciting at all. Cannot understand how anyone would do it. Seems boring". From a pal that rarely ventures outside his own apartment. Working over the spouses of newly certified skydivers/students is much more productive

Hm, I'm more worried about what a few well placed WMDs that went off could do to the world economy. That's where we're vulnerable. I ain't a warrior. Never been to combat and hopefully never will. We got a draft thing going here, but our military is so small only part of the male population has to take part. I drew a high number and got on the "you gotta join if we're invaded" list. Still, she made a deal with the US government. She's recieved benefits from it for 15 years - benefits that has helped her everyday and probably helped pay to raise her kid. If the docs say she's fit for service, she's honourbound to serve. Anything else would be an insult to those who're doing their duty and are in harms way. Not to mention those who lost their lives. So she's a woman. So f*ing what? Fathers love their kids as much as mothers do. They want to be alive to be there for their kids. Equality has to be applied fairly and not just when it fits whatever gender. You take your chances.
