The barnstormers of the 1920s made parachute jumps using one chute, often opening just above ground. The Germans had parachutes during W W I, and the Allies wouldnt allow their pilots to use them...afraid they would leave a good plane. After the War, many people bought urtis JN4 aircraft, and flew at shows all over America, sometimes taking passengers, sometimes flying a jumper. Bill Cole D-41

Back in the mid 1960s, a bunch of jumpers were taking part in the canadian Intnl Air Show at the Toronto waterfront. During the briefing, I got friendly with the pilot of the Red Knight T-33 jet, and I asked If there was anyway I could get a ride. He said sure, come to Trentton with me tomorrow, and well attend the briefin here and return here. There was an alternate Red Knight with a shiny silver T-33. My brother conned him for a ride, and the next day, Saturday, we flew to Trenton Air base and returned. On the way back, we ask the pilots to buzz the dropzone. Thats a great story....and reminds me that this thing went on during the First World war. A French pilot (Charles Nugesser) had downed several German aircraft, and thought he would celebrate his victory. He flew right down the street between the buildings ( I think the town was named Nancy) and the civilians there were very upset. The mayor of the town went to see Nungesser's Commanding Officer and complained about the danger. When Nungesser returned to his base, he was extremely ripped up and down by the C.O., who finally told him, you save that kind of flying to do it over the german held territory. Nungesser went out and had his Nieuport 17 re-armed, re-fueled, and hit off for the German lines. He had a couple of friends fly with him, but they were to fly slow around the edge, while Nungesser did his thing. He proceeded to put on a one man air show over a German aerodrome, and looped, rolled and low passed the field, without a single shot being fired at him The Germans were in awe of his flying and left him alone. Perhaps his friends had something to do wit that. Nungesser won the Croix de Guerre 28 times (France's version of the Medal of Honor) After the war, Nungesser an a friend Coli, flew from France to America, and crashed in the State of Maine. They actually beat Lindburgh, but it was years before it was confirmed they had actually made it in their all wood aircraft Le Oiseau Blanc. You know Zenister, there is a passage of scripture that really refers to conversing with poeple with your mentalit toward the scriptures. It says " Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like him" (Proverbs 26:4) Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom, and with all thy getting, get (Spiritual) understanding (Proverbs 4:7 O ye simple, understand wisdom; and ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart (Proverbs 8:5) These were written by the wisest man who ever lived, Solomon. Sorry, but there IS NO COPYRIGHT on the King James version of the Bible. I believe there is one onthe NEW KJV, but it also includes changes from the Authorized (by King James ) version.

In the NIV the publishers have ommitted or changed more than 65000 things. Some very crucial to the context of the original KJV. Some very crucial to the whole sacrifice that Jesus made. It certainly does matter to me and others to whom put their trust in God's WORD. Bill Cole

God did direct His WORD. You ask how He would then allow people to twist it nto their own private interpretations and re-write it. God has given mankind a free choice to do things according to His commandments, or to reject His commandments and do things wrong. a good example is you have the choice to kill people, or obey His laws and not kill people. He gave you this choice. He also gave the choice to people like Zondervan who corrupts the WORD of God. Whatever you, or Zondervan, or anyone else does, they will be held responsible. As it says in His WORD: let your heart ceer thee in the days of your youth, an walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes, BUT KNOW , that for ALL these things, God will bring thee into judgement. (Ecclesiastes 11:9) You too, can re-write God's WORD, but you will be held accountabkle. People have been corrupting God's WORD since the very early days of history, and in referring to the WORD of God, that includes the Old Testament as well as the New. The Apostle Paul wrote, : For we are not as many (people) who corrupt the WORD of God, but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, we speak in Christ (Truth). (2nd Corinthians 2:17) I dont think that God in reality favors one language over another, but it is a fact, that the English language is the Universal or International language of the world, and God made it so. That too, has been directed from God, a part of His amazing plan for this world. It was not simply selected to be the Universal language on the whim of some man. Even in aviation, if a Japan Air Lines plane flys into another foreign country, they sspeak ENGLISH to the tower. If a Russian plane flys into another foreign country..they speak ENGLISH, and this is the case anywhere in the world. English is the Universal language in all countries. It is a smal part of the rweason God's WORD was published in London, England first....the center of the world, and from there it could spread to the entire world. Oh, you didnt know that London England is at the center of the world???? You talk about learning self control....what about parent controlling their children....such as not allowing them to have video games that give points for killing others. Sure there were many books written and some were portions of what ended up as the King Jamesw version, but God brought them together to form His WORD in 1611. Before that, the writings were usually smaller in scoope, and it wasnt until 1611, the definitive Bible containing 66 books was completed. It includes "some" of the earlier writings, There is a "key" that unlocks many of the mysteries about God's WORD, and once a person has learned to use that key, I can totally assyure you, it is quite easy to Spiritually understand how and WHY God first had His completed WORD printed in London, England, and NO WHERE ELSE, Bill Cole
