I have a brand new Tri 175 and am just learning to pro-pack .... Getting that sucker into the bag is not a easy thing....however one of the fine instructors at my DZ has taken me under his wing and is teaching me....the key point I've been shown is very similar to Sid's reverse S fold....the most important part being to reach underneath while laying on the cacoon and grabbing a handful of canopy...the canopy will not reinflate as long as you hold it enabling you to get the 1st S folds done and a knee on to begin working it into the corners of the bag. Once to the cacoon stage I can get it in......now I just need to get the flaking part down (why did I buy a mostly dark blue canopy? )

Seeing how this thread somewhat relates to my Q and already has the attention of some very experiance skydivers... Long story short.....new gear....big wingloading change....learning canopy....working on accuracy.....yesterday I started on downwind leg of final to high for the winds....instead of s turning etc to burn off some alt. I took my DW leg farther over a patch of forest.....hitting some fairly fierce turbulance I opted to gentlly toggle turn out and back over the field( made a slow U turn onto final) instead of using a flat turn(I was getting jostled around in my harness quite a bit and it unnerved me).... Would going into 1/4 brakes for a flat turn been more prudent in a turbulant situation? Sorry for the semi hijack LisaMarie.......and the accuracy thingy will come to you in time I'm sure

Well....I was gona bring out a bunch of hotdogs(not the crappy kind either) and shit for Canada Day on Friday(weather permiting)....will that sufice??

:2:0 With some encourgment from friends at the DZ, I finally got myself over my fear of long delays and back to top floor jumps......did 2 from 10k....nothing pretty but it felt good to be back at altitude

Not everyone lives in the US -
Intresting list..........but oddly enough RUSH is not there....would be intresting to know how many of RUSH's songs have cowbell in them....I would venture to say most of them

There are presently 2 DZ's in the atlantic provinces.....Skydive Moncton and my home DZ The Atlantic School of Skydiving in Waterville NS....there was a third...but they seem to have sold off there plane etc. and there are rumors of another DZ starting up in NS....using a AN2....which would be very cool

I do not belive that was a acceptable compromise.....unsafe would be one way to describe it...........personally....I wouldn't want to take a Minardi up the ass as for the FIA's rec to simply change the tires(race is over..back to the north american way of spelling)...the teams would have been under the inspection rule....and possibly DQ'ed for the tires not meeting the required rules for replacement Well..... we are going to have to agree to disagree on that one It really is a shame....this is one of the best seasons in years...many diff teams have a chance to win.....the playing field has been somewhat equalized and no one team is running away with it yet(actually...todays farce has made the championship race a little better by bringing Ferrari closer to the others after a poor season start)...
