At my small home DZ the only paid packers are the ones flat packing student rigs(I've about 200 of them to my name)....never really seen anyone propacking sport mains for money...people help each other out packing or have lost bets which result in packing...but not really any paid packers for the regulars(you want to jump....better be able to pack) Now mind you...I am quite lazy...and the last year or so I will do almost anything to stay of the matt...when I do get to the DZ I spend my "help out" time running my outa shape ass off catching students...but I still have to pack my own.... Anyone want to pack my new canopy for me...that things a real bitch to get in the bag ....and as long as I get it in the bag and am sure the lines are straight...all is cool

Head to manifest with coffee and donuts(a little sucking up never hurts) in the Am before they are too busy...tell your story...ask them to check you out if possible...make sure you twitch at random to prove you are a skydiver in need of a fix....jump your ass off.

I recieved a email tonight from Vicki's sister ....Her mom had visited her in BC over the holidays and had her scan a pic of Vicki's headstone requesting that it be posted here for all to see.....a beautiful monument to a beautiful person who is greatly missed As we all go on with our everyday lives through the holiday season we can tend to somewhat forget the ones we have lost for a short while...only to be reminded of them and hopefully remember the good times...the positive influence they have had on us...and the joy they experianced in our presence. I think of Vicki almost every day as I still see her name on my messenger....Vicki(with a rose) (offline)....I will never delete it. Vicki's family were a great help to us(the local skydiving community..and extended community) in finding closure in dealing with the loss of a dear friend....as we tried to be so for them....however we are still waiting for the investigation to be completed so we can help them(and us) find complete closure.... Once the holiday season is over I will get off my ass and have the thread in the incidents forum addressed by me or someone else......keep in mind there will be no speculation...but a update as to the investigation results or lack of will be posted. Blue Skies Forever Vicki......fly free my friend...you are missed and always will be...

Well a certain someone removed some stiching where the leg pads were stiched to the leg straps ......so they could be tightened farther.... results look good...got about 3 more inches of tightening on the legs... rig will be rigger inspected again. And whats wrong with black pull-up's???(no it wont be attached to the reserve handle for jumping )

Here are a couple more pic's showing the hip ring location a little better and another angle on the MLW.. I dont think(newb opinion)that only shortening the MLW by 1 inch would be sufficient and there dosent appear to be enough room left to shorten the laterals by 2 inches(again..newb opinion)... I would think(yet again...newb opinion) that the MLW should be shortened by 3 to 4 inches...some lateral adjustment would be nice...but it dosent look like there is much more then a inch to remove...and of course smaller leg straps would be very nice...for that matter a smaller yoke would be idea...... The W/L on the ceiling is approx.01 to 1

My little buddy KindredSpirit bought a used Talon...kinda large for him but looked OK during the try on period ...tonight we hung him from the rafters(he's helping me with house reno's) to see how the rig is gona be under canopy(no reserve in tray)...it looks a hell of alot looser then we all(rigger's included) figured it would be(see pic's) ...he has the leg straps maxed...wondering what oppions others have on him jumping this container. Included are a couple pic's of me(I'm a tad bigger than he and the rig seems to fit me well untill I hung from the rafters as he did)

I asked about a year ago after the last change in the profiles pertaining to licences...no responce either

Dont forget to add the weight of your gear in W/L calculations......that 120 tempo reserve is gona put you near a 1.4 W/L......tad small in my newb oppion

Why? I come past the cascades on my final locking stow with large bands and double to get the appropiate tension(on last locking stow)....no problems as of yet..but only 20 odd jumps on new canopy...in fact...near perfect openings.. Seems like sound advise...but even small bands can be double wrapped to keep the tension even......I use large bands on my locking stows(new ZP is a bitch to get in the bag)...having to double the last one after the cascades...and small on the following stows...but a single wrap is quite loose...so I double them resulting in fairely even stow tension(usually hand stowing about 14 to 18 in the pack tray)...7 cell btw...
