DZ comic in comic book form

Hey! www.DZonline.info has its first page up! -
A couple of corny stuff me and our TMs do, but a few have written in my log book it helped them relax. VIDIOT: Did you know Mel (TM) is the on narcoleptic tandem master in the world. (he's snoring) VIDIOT: If you see my eyes get real big, pinch him and wake him up, it is pull time! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ TM: Steve, did you take all your pills this morning? VIDIOT: Nah, I forgot TM: That's okay, I took enough for both of us! VIDIOT: I'll take twice as many tomorrow to cover you! TM: (to student) What are friends for?

Me too. Now granted this was 1977 and my mind may be foggy, but my son who went to airborne then SF confirmed he had to do the same thing. Compared to what I did going through SF (which was more about the fast ruck sack march) Airborne PT was a joke.

From www.goarmy.com ++++++++++++++++ Applicants must be able to complete a 4-mile run within 36-minutes (9-minutes per mile).

Let me guess, you're coming as the Nordic god of thunder.
-
kinda figured as much.

Just curious, I wonder what would happen in the USA called in it's debts?
-
retire?? I was in ministry for 20 years. Although I have a pension, it can't be touched until 65. Now I teach. I need to do that 15 years so my age (50) and time in service adds to 80. I'm working all my life no doubt. Now if DZ could take off and make me rich ...

Dude, some of us have real jobs -- I only wish I could support myself completely skydiving.
-
One would suspect he's sneaking a peek at the comic book, but more twisted minds obviously think otherwise. First page is done. Working on the cover and setting up the website (different address than DZcomic.com) I hope to have it online in a week or so.
-
It's coming to a web address near you soon. Want a peek?

Just cut a protrack size hole in the foam padding. Stays in there nicely.

Will he be perceived as the messenger of God?

IMHO you are more right than wrong. A lengthy discussion about Christians, war, and their role in government would entail if I were to comment further. I have a Masters in Theology and despise arguing religion. It is worthless in my opiniion. I'm some of a ignigma as I was in SF and so is my son. I support him and all our troops, but I feel war for the most part is extremely unnecessary. Again, it is a weighty subject and I'm not willing to delve into that online (I type very slow -- hunt and peck) Its way too frustrating. Stop by SDA and after some good jumps we can "discuss" it. peace! -
First, let me clarify: I believe we should try and help anybody in the world when we can. As far as my illustration and your comment; I don't resent giving to scholarships for my alma mater at all. But I would not pay for someone else's education IF my children had to go without. That being said, the USA is a wealthy country by world standards and I don't mind paying more taxes (the government doesn't grow money, you know. It comes from taxes) to help those in need, both here and abroad. That imaginary lines bs is just that. We are a sovereign nation. How about Abdul Al Hag from Pakistan giving more txes so the people in NO can rebuild their city. Aint gonna happen is it?
-
How about them Cowboys? 33-10
-
Without arguing for or against economic aid to Pakistan, I want to point out your "tongue in cheek" rebuke lacks weight. Who among us don't see to the needs of our own children before we begin to meet the needs of others, no matter how poor they are. Just because I love my kid enough to pay for their college education doesn't mean I'm a bad person because I won't pay for other children's college education. Oh wait, I already do that! (with taxes)

All our paint was lead based too. Mercury was cool to mess with in Chemistry. In 1990 I was working in Cimmarrones, Costa Rica helping build a little church in the rain forest. When my crew saw the abestos ceiling tiles, they wouldn't put them up. I told the local pastor, Sherman Lion, that my men wouldn't work with the tiles because they were abestos. His reply was "That's okay, they're not asbestos to me". Needless to say we lost something in translation. Upon seeing him do that, my guys put on masks and we put the stuff up.

What about me?? I'm 50!!! I drank from a garden hose, played "pick up" baseball and footbal years before some adults could organize my fun time, rode my bike all over town without a helmet, rode in the back of dad's pickup, never wore seatbelts in a car, ate beef, stayed out past dark, never locked a door. no nintendo, no game boy, no play station, (RPG meant Rocket Propelled Grenade not Role Play Game) My Gawd, how did I survive?

Will he be perceived as the messenger of God?
StevePhelps replied to EricTheRed's topic in Speakers Corner
Well, I agree with that to some degree. Historically Buddhist have never fought a war over religous principles. People love to bring up the crusades when they talk about Christians. Give me a break. While I'm not their judge, the actions of the Kings and crusaders were NOT in line with Christ's teachings. Neither is a lot of stuff that goes on in the name of Christianity. Tonto, I may have misunderstood your implication, as I thought you were implying Buddhist will not fight in a war. Hey, but I was right about "Viet Nam" -

Incidently, it's Vietnam, not Viet Nam. -

Are you familiar with the present tense? All religions allow for self defense. When you are on someone elses turf with guns and bombs - it's OK for them to whack you. Have you heard of Mai Lai? Incidently, the population of Vietnam is only 9.3% Buddhist according to their 1999 census, the rest being Catholic, Hoa Hao, Cao Dai, Protestant, Muslim and those with no religeon. How's that Vietnam history working for you? -

You are a little light on Viet Nam history if you believe that. -
yeah, right. I'm 50 years and 10 months!
