Not sure if this goes well with the conversation, but F**ck it-LOL I came back to the DZ after a long layoff, I put on a few pounds (more like 30-LOL) after some desicion making I decided aainst jumping my normal main, and going with something more forgiving. I did it no problem. Lesson? when you come to a dz, leave your freakin ego at home, youll have plenty of time to jump the cool whiz-bangs. I've seen similar handles before, none EXACTLY like this no doubt, but the general idea is the same. If you feel like you can deal with it, go for it. I got my first glance at a BPA skydiving mag at the dz over the weekend. What a great magazine! I definately favor the "fun" and colorful layout over the professional and businesslike one used for parachutist. Right on! Anyone else? Alot of the tandem masters at my dropzone use big ol- heavy double-zippered suits like the ones found in Paragear, both for themselves and for the students. They have lasted foprever so far-LOL and that has been just for the 5 years I've been jumping. I forget the brand name. what kind of collapsable do you have Pammi??? If you have the kind with the two lines, I have seen some riggers here lengthen the line to make it easier for them to reach. I might be wrong but there is prolly some other things you might wanna check like how tight your legstraps are, possibly the length of you main lift web too(you wont be able to change that), but I'm no rigger and if you bought the rig used (sized for someone else) than maybe one day you can reach it-LOL(when you get a rig sized for you.) Why is everyone always dissin the sabre!-LOL- Its been my experience at my home dz that sabres CAN open hard, but dont do it often. There must be some major differences in eveeryones packing technique or something. It seems to me that if your going to be freeflying alot more than the full suit would be your best option bro. But moolah is moolah, if you think that the pants are what youll be more comfortable in to start, than maybe you should get them-LOL- I'm pretty much a beginner at freeflying myself so take this for what you will.
