LOL look at the date for the original post LMAO...ok, that was me trying to send out 20 e-mails at once, answer calls, answer questions and still read the forums.

Giaaa, you're still coming out tonight, right?

It depends on the woman. I'm sure that any pretty woman, such as Beth or Lesley, could be sexy with short or long, as long as she has confidence!

When I get take-out (often), I usually tip around 10%. Taking my order, submitting it to the kitchen, collecting it, packaging it, and ensuring that there is sufficient plasticware, napkins, and condiments seems worth that in comparison to regular waitstaff. That sounds reasonable. What do people in the restaurant business say about 10% for take-out tips?

Please post pics, Jumpchikk!

That's so sweet of her, Kaytee! I also had a female boss who used to bring me the most beautiful flowers for my office. Enjoy them, girl!

I was just there in December. My parents go every year, and they own a beach home in Miraflores. One of the reasons for the yearly trips is that my family heads much missionary/charity work, mostly for the children's hospital in Lima, Peru. On our last trip, my family had built (over the last 15 years) and opened up a pool for a small village's children in San Benito, Cajamarca. We also sponsored their high-school graduation class. It was very fulfilling! I have decided to have a skydiving fundraiser late next year at Skydive Elsinore to raise more money for our non-profit charity organization called PAMS, and all of the money goes directly to the children in the children';s hospital in Peru. (PAMS also do missionary medical trips to Peru.) Anyway, I am very excited about this, but this skydiving/Peruvian fundraiser for 2007 is still in my initial conceptual stages.

Walt, we all know how things were way back when with the good ol' boys, but obviously, that wasn't what I was referring to in my post. How long ago was it that you knew these people? I remember you mentioning in a past post, that you're about 49, so you were in college about 30 years ago or so. Like I said in my post, among the new generations, it is not valid. I would be interested to know what the nature of your friend's relationship is now, since things have changed so much in the past 30 years. I am 34, so the Asian women that I've met in my lifetime are of a totally different mindset. Mikki_ZH ~ PM me, if you'd like to talk about Peruvian food. I LOVE it! I've never had cuy (although my parents love it), but I love anticuchos, ceviche and much more. Pisco Sour is my favorite drink!

I have taken a hiatus from skydiving, and it's been about a year, since I've stopped. I still fly in the tunnel when I can, but it's been less and less, lately. Still, the regular tunnel addicts and experienced 4-way flyers know who I am, since I've flown or had coaching from with many of them. Anyway, I had a Locks of Love fundraiser at Skydive Elsinore last weekend, and I noticed something very odd. At first, I thought that it was my imagination, but then, I realized that the newer male jumpers were trying to impress me when talking of their skydiving capabilities. I guess that since they hadn't seen me around the DZ, they wanted to show off in front of the new girl. Each one individually stressed to me how much better their skills were than other jumpers, and they kept trying to explain skydiving to me. I tried to be complimentary to them, but at times, I honestly didn't know what to say to them. It was very odd, especially since I have often been around medal-winning skydivers who don't feel the need to verbally brag about their skydiving skills.

I was born in Peru, South America. Yes, I was born in a hospital. My parents wouldn't have it any other way. My father is an Ob/Gyn and my mother was a nurse back, then.

That was funny, and I had flashbacks of Dee Snider!

Meet me in Eloy next weekend if you wish...
VanillaSkyGirl replied to mattyblast's topic in The Bonfire
Hey, you should join us at the Wigs 2 event on March 4th at Skydive Elsinore. It's only a 6 hr. car drive from Eloy to Southern California's two top DZs, Perris Valley Skydiving and Skydive Elsinore! -
Exactly RL. My ex's ex is Filipino, and she's scary. Walt- Throughout my life, I have had various close female friends who are Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Korean, etc. I know none, who are as you described. They are all incredibly intelligent and strong women. That old stereotype about "Asian" women being subservient is not true, not among the new generations. It's completely untrue of the Asian ladies, whom I've been close friends with in my lifetime. Chris~ When I looked at these girls on this thread, I wondered for a moment if my twin nieces, who are to be born this summer, will look similar. They will be half Peruvian (on my brother's side) and half Taiwanese (on his wife's side). Also, my brother's wife is 5'8", so they might be tall. The best part is that my brother and his wife are very down-to-earth, caring souls, although they are quite successful, intelligent people. (Both have genius-level IQs.) Those girls are going to have a very nice life with such loving parents, and an Aunt Ro who will love them, as if they were her own.
