Omg...that wouldn't be any fun at all. The two jello-shot masters together in the same place...bwahahaaha!
-
NO! You should move this way, dude.

Little boy in need of prayers/vibes PLEASE

Prayers and positive thoughts are being sent his way! -
I don't have time or care enough to modify a "for fun" list like this. I only copied and pasted. Start your own damned list, if it bothers you.
-
I didn't write this list, remember?

McDonald's food? I change my mind. I had thought that you had bought fast food at some other place. For instance, In-N-Out here in SoCal has awesome double-doubles with cheese, which I have every so often, but i would never eat food from a McDonald's. (Good luck with your poops.)

Is not being totally honest always done to "spare" someone else's feelings? Could it also be that people just don't want to deal with the awkwardness of actually having to deal with their friends' unpleasant emotions, sometimes? I wonder if it's also occasionally not a control issue. Knowing more than someone else sometimes makes people feel as though they have more control over a situation/relationship. This is an interesting thread, Gia. Thanks for starting it.

I have in the past been brutally honest/truthful, but I have also lied to spare people's feelings, somewhat recently. I am not sure what is best. Personally, I would want total honesty from friends and vice versa. Unfortunately, no matter what you do, you are going to end up hurting someone, every once in a while. I also think that withholding information or omitting something important can definitely be viewed as being dishonest.

Well, I don't know about everyone else, but I live in Southern California. I don't think that I know many people who don't drive to various places every day.

I LOVE THAT! No worries, Rev.

That WAS my whole point.

What's the point of insulting someone online (which is tacky, btw), when I can do it to their face? The people whom I think are awful, know how I feel about them. Trust me.

Oh my God...that was funny, Walt! You obviously don't know Wally. Wally & Krisanne are both cool, but it was just a misunderstanding, I think. Geez...you missed Wally's whole point. He was just asking for someone's name because he most likely wanted to compliment her, not because he's some kind of creepy stalker. I don't think that it was such a big deal to him, but it turned into a big deal over nothing. He wasn't trying to hunt someone down or ask for a date or anything. For the record, Wally's a really nice guy, who can respect a lady's beauty without crossing the line. He is respectful of other women's privacy, and I am super-picky about my own privacy, so I would know. Wally is also happily married to a ridiculously gorgeous woman. Have you even SEEN any of those pictures of Wally's beautiful wife? Not every person, who asks for someone's name or who admires someone's picture is a stalker or even wants a date. They sometimes just want to say that they think you're pretty, "have a nice day!" and be on their way. Even I admire some women's looks, and I don't even like women in that way at all. Sometimes beauty is just for us to admire, and it should be treated as nothing more. I'm not offended by compliments, and I don't think that i've ever met any other person who has been, either.

That was wonderful and so true. Thank you for posting it! I was born in 1971, but your post still applies to me. It makes me long a bit for those days as a child when things were so much more simple. People seemed happier...at least, the children seemed happy, well-developed. People dealt with every day disappointments a lot better back then, and it built character. In traveling overseas to India for instance, I was struck by how happy children were that lived in the U.S.'s definition of "poverty". Those kids found joy in the simple things, like we used to do.

The sushi one is funny because my ex-BF's favorite sushi is Salmon Skin Handroll. I do love coconut and chocolate truffles, too. Sake Kawa Temaki 70% Adventurousness, 56% Complexity, 51% Heartiness Sake Kawa Temaki (Salmon Skin Handroll) - A cone of Nori stuffed with crunchy broiled salmon skin, bits of salmon meat, shaved green onions and beefsteak leaves. Dust it with some tiny fish roe for color and sparkle and you have a masterpiece for your mouth. You're the sort who eats sushi with gusto, and each meal is a new adventure. Who cares if you're eating onions on a date?... If your date has any sense, they will be eating one right along with you. Coconut truffle You scored 44% Dark, 66% Crunch, and 69% Chewy! You are a smooth coconut truffle: Creamy coconut filling accented with coconut flakes, in a milk chocolate shell. Soft and irresistably sweet. I would label you as an introvert though....you prefer to keep more to yourself or small groups than to be at a wild party. But you're a lovely person and friend, someone that others can truly count on. And you see the world through rose-colored glasses, which is getting harder these days, so hold onto that optimism :)

Uh, is everyone here a vegetarian or a health-nut? I eat those all of the time. (They're not that toxic.) You should be ok, Jef. I think I'll go eat one, myself...just for the hell of it.

Gotta run, but I guess that I'll meet her, later. (She's beautiful!)
-
Well, bring your hottie friend out to Elsinore this weekend! We can all party together at WIGS 2!
-
She's very pretty, although I've actually never seen, nor met, nor heard of her at Elsinore, but it's been a while, since I've jumped. Krisanne, I totally remember that several friends of hers, including you had posted a thread and various posts about your friend to get her votes for a Maxim "hometown hottie" contest. I just looked her up...is THIS her? Why didn't she at least make finalist? We should all vote for her, if she is still doing it this year. It would be cool to have a skydiving hottie on Maxim. Let us know if she is on there again, Krisanne, because it seems as though this hometowne hottie thing is a big deal.

Stress Free Job...which would you want to do?
VanillaSkyGirl replied to RkyMtnHigh's topic in The Bonfire
That's awesome, Mar! -
What a sweet, little guy, Chrissy! How great that he and you are bonding and having fun learning things together. Make sure to pamper him with your love, which I know that you will, and be sure to play together a lot. Puppies love to play and to learn new things through play-time. *HUGS* to you both!

Stress Free Job...which would you want to do?
VanillaSkyGirl replied to RkyMtnHigh's topic in The Bonfire
I have a friend, who opened her own flower shop, several years ago. Owning and working in a flower shop is not a stress-free job, especially not around Valentine's Day or when the wedding season hits. Obviously, they need to get booked for various receptions on weekends, such as weddings, parties, banquets, funerals, etc, which are all high-stress and time-sensitive functions. Their schedule would have to revolve around their clients' requests/functions. Would you really think that it would be stress-free when dealing with that many brides, knowing how picky they can be about floral arrangements? Kaytee, any job can be stressful or stress-free, depending on a person's approach to his/her work. As they say, the grass is always greener on the other side. At least, that is how things appear to be on the surface. The reality is a totally different story.
