I've gota pretty big customer base now -I'm keeping my self busy, and I'm kinda suprised it took me so long....
-
And since when did that stop any skydivers, sunny?!?!
-
I agree - It may help with parts, to some extent, but I'm not convinced that restarting the production will help make the T'wotter any more available to DZ operators than it is now. =========Shaun ==========

After 9 months of Rigging and about 85 Inspections & repacks, last weekend I had my first save from a Student on his second 10-second delay. Student pulled on-time after exiting at an altitude of approxomatly 5,500', and experienced a pilotchute in tow. As he turned his shoulders to Check his main canopy, it cleared and he began his emergency procedures right as the bag left the container. He did a perfect job - under his reserve by 2,500', and all parts (minus the handle) were recovered. I'm speaking with Sunrise rigging right now, but the general consensus is his pilot chute just hung out too long in the burble and cleared as he checked. My first save.

Thank you, Bill. This is exactly the info I was looking for. =========Shaun ==========

That blows my mind..... What else could they ask for? A rocketship? Are they being serious of just saying those things to joke with their nervous Passengers?!? This is why I keep looking at the Caravan.... =========Shaun ==========

So our jumpships for the future will most likely be.. - Cessna Caravan - Pac 750 XL - King Airs -T'Wotters -Kodiak =========Shaun ==========

HA! I loved it - the little horror-mask on the ferret sold it. =========Shaun ==========

FACT: Those who post on DZ.com on a regular basis are more likely to post pictures of their girlfriends boobies than normal folks. =========Shaun ==========
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a King Air prett pricy to operate given the two hungy hungry engines and retractible gear? =========Shaun ==========
-
What jumpships did they have pumping out this year up there?!? =========Shaun ==========
-
I'm seeing a used Caravan for no less than $600,000 USD, but my point was, that there are still a really new aircraft, and Cessna is pumping those things out fast enough that current operators will be able to continually upgrade. I think in a few years we'll see them as a much more economical aircraft for larger DZ's. =========Shaun ==========

Has anyone had AIDS caused by Dating a Jumper? I haven't seen it yet, but that would make your weekend interesting.... =========Shaun ========== -

I gotta ask you guys - do you get to post at work?!? Or do you just post straight from the time you get home to bed time? How do you do it?!?! =========Shaun ========== -
That would be another big advantage I can see - It will breakeven and be able to take off with a lower minimum jumpers on board - This would make a big difference for small Dropzones trying to fire up at 7:30 Saturday morning, but for a big DZ wouldn't matter much at all. IMHO, a lot of jumpers look at size, speed, and lift capacity in aircraft. So, according to Utility Aircraft, an Otter turns 3.25 Loads per hour at 20 jumpers while a standard 208-675 carries 145 jumpers, at 2.75 loads per hour. Seems ideal for TM's and smaller dropzones with limited Tandem staff. One things I think we need to consider (and usually don't) is the efficiency of Manifest. Loads Meet the plane at the end of the runway - there is a pit-crew to assist in a speedy fuel stop, and the entire vibe of the Dropzone is one to stop yakkin' and get in the air. I think a Caravan, if run Really efficiently and manifested well, would support a dropzone which would normally think they are ready for something bigger... Agree? Disagree? =========Shaun ==========
