    I can top that. I get nabbed going 90-something in a 55 zone in the middle or Rural Wyoming on the way to Salt Lake. I was taking a back-road trucker route that saves about 50 miles or so. Granted, the Cop wasn't too happy to see some 17 year old punk and his girlfriend doing 90. He chews me out, this that and the other, and tells me he's writing me up on a number of things. Not the nicest guy in the world. He's walking back to my car with the ticket in hand, and a passing driver nearly clipped him by not changing lanes and he passed out cars on the side of the road. "It's your lucky day, kid" and he crumples up the ticket and goes after the other guy.... And THERE IS a Santa Clause.

    Down the Road we have a place where most of the Girls (or at least 25%) are Med Students from the University of Kansas Medical School - other than that, all the strippers I've met and know are pretty much illeterate. But then again, I'm just speaking for the Midwest.... =========Shaun ==========

    My home Dropzone for many Years has bee Skydive KState, and we have a huge representation from the KC Crowd, and 1/3 of our Jumpers.... If you want, touch base and PM me and I can get you a ride out there on the weekends for sure. I would also really recommend The Kansas City Skydiving Center. Paul E. is a good friend of mine, and he has worked really hard to create a Dropzone with a great vibe for both Students and for Fun jumpers. =========Shaun ==========

    I am overcoming it right now as we speak, and I've been on antibiotics for about 4 days now. After starting them, the swelling and pain started going away REALLY fast, and even though I still had puss pockets on my toung and I wasn't contageous, I decided to try to jump on wednesday. After 3 jumps, my ears wern't bleeding the pressure and the next day ALL my symptoms came back in full force. Don't try jumping until the strep is completly gone...I am learning this the hard way... =========Shaun ==========

    Poor bastard... It seems that every year there was someone in one of my elementary school classes that did that. My favorite was a little girl who got her finger hopelessly stuck in the rung of a clipboard....Nurses station, fire fighters, the works. Oh oh oh and remember that kid with the bean up his/her ear/nose?

    Okay, just for fun I've been running a few capacity models on various Dropzones to see for myself how the DZO's think. Really interesting, but I've run into a problem and those who I've asked have yet to come up with a straight answer. The short of it; What's the Deal with Dropzones and Sales taxes? I don't think I've knowingly paid sales tax on any jump ticket I've purchased, but I would assume that any DZ, especially those who advertise extensivly or have any sort of tandem base must come forward and pay a sales tax on their business. The DZO's I've talked to don't seem to have any planning on this...so how do they do it? Why don't we usually tack on the extra 7.something Percent when we buy our tickets or when a tandem goes up? =========Shaun ==========

    I'm kinda surprised how the polls are coming in. right now 16 have jumped under the influence of drugs, and even more for jumping under the influence of alcohol. I don't know what to say - I don't have much respect for those jumpers. IMHO, adding that influence is just adding another dangerous dimension to a sport which has such small tolerances for mistakes commonly made under the influence. I've seen professional freeflyers jumping stoned, and I hope that they arn't the ones the younger upcoming guys are looking up to. I get mad enough when people crack open something before the beer light goes on - even madder when they have students fetch it for them. If I were a DZO, (and there are obviously REASONS I'm not) I would have a no tolerance policy. I don't care if your a licensed skygod on the pro circuit. =========Shaun ==========

    I know that the Aerydyne version of Main or reserve slinks (with the metal ring) require you to tack through the ring to hold them in place. Are you also referring to PD's version as well? =========Shaun ==========
