Looks like our Deal Cris Kringles is a little lonely and Horny. He does know where all the bad girls live....... =========Shaun ==========

Oh, about the "after," I got bored at work and sent her picture into "Simpsonizeme.com," and labeled the Pre-Simpson picture as "Before."

WTF - Here we go. Her Name is Michelle, and we've been dating for about 9 months now, and it's going well. She doesn't care to much for jumping, but I've made it clear early on that this is what I do and that is what she can expect if we wants to be with me. =========Shaun ==========

I thought I'd chime in with a few things to say about Mirage Sys. About 7 months ago, a Friend brought me a Brand Spanking New G3 he bought from a Dealer down at a Boogie in Florida. The thing was a nightmare, at no Fault to The manufacturer. The dealer assured him it would fit the reserve he just bought (a Smart 150, I believe...) and gave him a killer deal (Don't quote me, but Methinks the new rig for around $1,200) Anyways, come time to assemble and pack, and there was no bloody way that reserve was going into that container. I checked it online, and by one measurement it was 3in^3 too small, and by one 8in^3 in the green. I give it a go after talking to Mirage, and Ward, with some followup, helped us work through the oddly sized container. Also, the dealer included a "slightly Used" and VERY bent Ripcord pin, to which Ward, without asking a question, sent a new one. I guess If I'm going to have an order messed up by a dealer, I hope it's on a Mirage!! =========Shaun ==========

I've packed quite a few Wings (Our Dropzone has all Student Wings...) and Icons, and I agree that they are totally different animals. It took me a good 25 wings reserve repacks to be able to fill the ears correctly and return a good looking rig. I feel that there are many wings that are too tight - Personally I like to have the Reserve Pilot chute a tad depressed and sunk a bit compared to the material around the edge, but too often that just isn't possible when packing a very tight rig. As far as the Icon is concerned, The thing I like about it most is the simplicity. Realistically speaking, it seems to me to be a more secure version of the Vector-2. It's easy to pack, secure, and flexible. I like it a lot. There are a lot of good designs out there, and IMHO, there really are no bad rigs on the market. Just pick your flavor. I bought a Racer and My next rig will be a racer, but that's just me...

Perhaps you could enlighten us, Andy9o8? What do you think the limiting factor was? =========Shaun ========== -
I'm not sure how many skydivers, while Vigil is doing their best to make a good, sollid AAD, would be interested in a class action suit, or all things. Something about lawsuits and skydiving that just doesn't settle well with me..... =========Shaun ==========

Riggers & Pilots alike - What is the best Pilot Rig?
Unstable replied to Unstable's topic in Gear and Rigging
I've been packing quite a few pilot rigs lately, and since most standard GQ Security Brand models have hit their 15 year life as prescribed by the manufacturer, I've been helping a lot off friends update their pilot rig to one of the newer brands. I don't think this has been discussed much on DZ.com, but how do you feel about the various pilot rigs on the market? What would you recommend to your customers? Why? I tend to learn towards Para-Phernalia's line of Softies. The simplicity is hard to argue with, and they offer a bigger bang for your buck. They are light, comfortable, and downright easy to pack. Strong makes a good rig, their models feel more durable, but especially in the case of the Strong Squadron Seat, It would be made a touch simpler. What would you recommend, and why? =========Shaun ========== -

See, I just don't understand how this holds grounds in a court of law. "Excuse me Your honor, I didn't understand and didn't read what I signed so I want my broken leg fixed..." I know the US of A is behind the curve on Tort Reform, but If I may ask, what kept the aforementioned Dropzone from Counter-Suing for their costs in defending such a frivolous lawsuit? BTW, my Brother was once engaged to the Daughter of arguably the most successful Ambulance chaser west of the Rockies - the man had more money than he knew what to do with - anybody who gives their college girl a $12,000 a Month living stipend for living has more money than he knows what to do with. I think the man is scum. =========Shaun ========== -
Mine is of an upside down ratbert. There was a cartoon where he was doing flips onto Dilbert's couch, and I thought it was funny... =========Shaun ==========

How many jumps did you get in this weekend?
Unstable replied to andm31's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
We had an almost-amazing weekends here at KSUPC. We had out "Alumni Boogie", we brought in a second airplane from nebraska, and come 10am on Saturday morning, we have gusts of 35mps on the ground at 51 knots at 2k. I made 3 jumps, probably against my better judgement. -
Whoah - I'm not meaning to Haijack the thread- but did you say something about Mesquite and a 206? Hmm, I'll have to come up in a couple weeks and check it out! Blue ones, =========Shaun ==========

God I'm starting to hate reading things like this Scumbag attorneys are going to do this sport in faster than anything the FAA could ever do. I wonder how many Riggers ever get pulled up there on the stand to be held accountable for shit like this. What, just because this bonehead didn't realize that this isn't a roller-coaster ride, he should get his leg paid for? =========Shaun ========== -
Yes. I got one in Nevada and a week later I got one of those letter's back in Kansas. It was pretty pointless, they wanted some $250 to get my out of a $200 ticket, but the deal is that I pay the extra $50 to not get any points on my record. IMHO, too many places give out pointless tickets. =========Shaun ==========

I agree. I think that this group has become a little overprotective and seems to have lost sight of it's initial goals and become power hungry. =========Shaun ========== -
1. Some people get lucky and kill two birds with one stone. Chuck Norris once killed four birds with half a stone. What's that? You say there's no such thing as half a stone? The four dead birds didn't think so either. 2. Chuck Norris floats like a butterfly and stings like a tomahawk missile. At mach 3. In the face. 3. The grass is always greener on the other side, unless Chuck Norris has been there. In that case the grass is most likely soaked in blood and tears. 4. When an episode of Walker Texas Ranger was aired in France, the French surrendered to Chuck Norris just to be on the safe side. 5. It takes 14 puppeteers to make Chuck Norris smile, but only 2 to make him destroy an orphanage. =========Shaun ==========

I miss my Dolphin. Dang, that this was comfy. Anyways, I would disagree with some of these Posts. A used Dolphin, with a PD 190 Main could serve a younger jumper well as he gets into the sport. Yes, the PD190 was never a Rocket or a Kool Kid Kanopy, but It will server the purpose safely. =========Shaun ==========

Large DZ's open all the time or just weekends?
Unstable replied to hackish's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
We are a small Cessna DZ, with just one 182. We are open every weekend, and as many Wednesdays and Friday we can get some jumpers and a pilot together. =========Shaun ========== -
