    Hmm, that is the hunch I'm getting. Along with the "Random" drug tests, I think I know where you are coming from. IMO, and from just what you have told me, seems like a poor operation for a pilot to be flying at. Many DZ's are in need of more pilots, work for an experienced Diver Driver shouldn't be hard to find.. =========Shaun ==========

    I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but I think we need to take it upon all of ourselves to set a good example as upjumpers. When a student walks onto the DZ and begins his training, his attitudes toward the sport are formed by those around him at this time. If he sees people downsizing very carefully and seeking canopy control coaching, we hope he can pick up some of these attitudes. I'm personally sick of people argueing about this. We can start to take the problem into our own hands today... Edited to add: Sorry that last sentence came across condescending. What I mean is that we can just take action about this today by setting a good example ourselves... =========Shaun ==========

    About 2 years in the sport, and I knew what reserve risers were and I was aware that they were only compatible with RI products and Parachutes De France. I'm not a rigger, but it seems that it was a solution to a problem that didn't exist. I feel much better with a pair of normal (non reversed) risers... =========Shaun ==========

    Two Big boneheads right here..... Bonehead Number one: Mr. Bill with an Instructor at insanly low Jump Numbers. Bonehead number two: Jumping a packjob that I did not know who the packer was (at the time...). I didn't have a cutaway, but I landed a stepthrough. The mess worked it's way to where I could steer and flare just fine with risers... Lucky... =========Shaun ==========

    I'm Honestly terrorfied that someday one of us is going to have a cutaway and this McNasty is going to rip one of our canopies to shreads........ If the canopy lands in his land and he does in fact do this, is there any legal action that can be taken to repay for damages and such?? Or if it lands in his yard does he get a brand new Sabre2? =========Shaun ==========

    PM Sent.... But for the forums, I have a Brand New 2k3 and I'm thrilled to death with it. I choose it over Mirage, Javelin, Wings, and Vector for a couple of reasons. Like others have commented, there are a lot of Great rigs out there that are safe, FFFriendly, and top-of-the-line, it all boils down to Personal Preference and IMO, Customer service... Do a search, this has been discussed several times before her, often times with blood & feathers everywhere.... =========Shaun ==========

    I know this is an Instructor only thread, but I have been packing at my DZ for almost two years and will be an Instructor in about a month. Our DZ used PC Assist Static Line Method. Our DZ has two arguments concerning this - First off our Chief Rigger has us route the SL differently than the Sunpath Manual states, Under the Top flap and out the left side, as opposed to out the right side and crossing over. Second, we have yet to standardize on the amount of velcro to use in the PC assist connection point. I personally use about 4" to 5", not quite the entire amount, as perscribed by my rigger..... If my posting here in this thread is going to be a problem, let me know and I'll get out...... =========Shaun ==========
