I'm not trying to be defensive or answer for BCH, but this is my .02...... We rehersed the dive and the exit well, I remember talking to the person cueing the dive about looking around and starting the count after everyone had acknowledged that they were ready... All that happened is that there was a miscommunication while BCH was fixing the grip of the guy in the "V"..... either BCH or Ardrock could give more Info, I was hanging on the strut and couldn't see everything on the other side.... =========Shaun ==========

Sigh, I have a sad sad story for you all..... It brings a tear to my eye everytime I remember... Senior Year or High School, my String Quartet play at a Music Competition at the mall and each walk away with $150 or that can only be spent at the mall. I spent it ALL on one pair of Eddie Bauer Polarized glasses... MAN I loved those. I wore them all the time... After I graduated, (I was licensed and had my own stuff before I even Graduated HS, but I never really let people at my DZ in on this... I was over 18) I went to WFFC in Rantoul to work as A tandem packer, and I took along my trusty pair of Glasses. They would not fit under my Z1, and between the rush of Tandems I snuck out for a LOized jump with some guy in the Low-pressure tent - I dont' remember his name, he was my favorite LO, jumped a ragged old multi-colored vector, dressed like a clown, and chain smoked.... Well, I took my glasses along without thinking, and in the rush to get going, I hid them Underneath the Couch there in the tent... When I came back, my Babies were SMASHED to pieces, twisted apart and tweaked VERY deliberatly.... Someday I'm going to find out who did this, and I'm going to rip them a new one... Both of these comments are mildly disturbing to me.... I'm a big softie, I cringe when I see and ankle break, and for some reason, hearing about suicide Sends chills up my spine... I can't handle it.. I hope I dont' get flamed for this, but I sure hope assisted Suicide never becomes legal here in the states - Too many greedy Doctors and others who would take advantage of people in their worst of times. Heck, we live in the United States, most of us are capitalists, the last thing I want to see is this to develope into an Industry (as everything does....) and soon we'd have doctors willing to "Knock you off" for 20% less than the other guys... IMO, people who are even considering suicide need Immediate Counseling, regardless of age or circumstances... =========Shaun ==========

I get that Tingly "got to jump" feeling whenever I hear "Bohemian Rapsody" - I guess the only reason I can think of is during the time I was working on my student progression, we had a big stereo system out at the DZ that played that song, and it seems like I heard it between every load......

Date: March 14, 2004 Aircraft: C182 Location: Wamego, KS Altitude: 10,000' Description: Four Way RW dive, dive plan called for round, doughnut, round, doughnut other direction, et cetera.... I spotted the Aircraft and the Climbed all the way out and hung by the strut. Person on the Step giving the count looked at me, and I nodded, the count began, and we left.... Exit Funnled Immediatly, and BCH7773 broke his middle finger after getting it caught in the door frame of the aircraft on exit, and then caused our formation to funnel..... Nobodies fault, just happens.... Nice Swoopy Landing under my Sabre2... =========Shaun ==========

I care, but When I'm cruising the Forums of DZ.com, I really dont' have much patience for a thread with hundreds of posts about this stuff - need to think more about skydiving and less about the other "Stuff".............. =========Shaun ==========

BTW, to answer the question, my first was jump number 125, a Firebolt 164 at WFFC.... I'll be real honest with you, when I was loading it at 1.2ish, it didn't seems much more zippy than a Sabre2.... Easier to land too, IMO. =========Shaun ==========

Aggie, I am not an instructor (yet) and I'm still learning how to fly my Sabre2 at 1.35, but those numbers you put up there seem pretty radical....... Please do not that this offensivly or the wrong way, but do you consider yourself luckey that you didn't seriously hurt yourself going so fast? Did you think that you could handle that at the time? Are there jumpers you know that could handle that at those numbers? No offense please, I mean this in the best way possible and I'm trying dang hard not to sound condescending... Yes, Many times. I Even went to the aircraft and we rehearsed the exit about three or four times for the one low timer on the load. Like BCH said, the guy with 40 some jumps took a wrong grip, and the count was given before he was ready..... =========Shaun ==========
