  1. Alright, It seems to me like this girl needs to be taught right and wrong - but for a girl in this case, this YOUNG - putting the kid in "tight" handcuffs and treating her like a hardened criminal is just unacceptable... =========Shaun ==========
  2. Well, In Kings Defense, I think that about 75% of jumpers out there have been told to Slow down at some point in their career or another. As for Myself, I to was once going too fast, I did a Mr. Bill with an Instructor when I had around 100 jumps - I'm damn lucky I walked away from it. People Still accuse me of going to fast on some things - You're not alone dude... =========Shaun ==========
  3. Ohhhh La La....... I'm jealous. I haven't jumped a Turbine Since Late February, Look at me, I'm getting shaky going through withdrawl... =========Shaun ==========
  4. I am not a Rigger, so take what I say with a Grain of Salt, and I am Bias since I do jump the Newest MOdel of Racer and stand behind their design, but it seems to me that those who have experience in packing Racers agree that they are not harder to pack, but just different - and the newer riggers are the ones who claim they are much more difficult. Where I come from, most riggers will pack a Racer in a heartbeat (and very well!!) but gripe at your for bringing them a Wings.... Blue Skies, =========Shaun ==========
  5. Where I come From there are several people who have all had their first cutaway on jump 17. Creepy..... Kansasskydiver can testify to that.... =========Shaun ==========
  6. I Thought it was important for a while, then I blew it...... Brand Spanking new Blue/Silver rig, blue/silver RW suite, and obnoxious red helmet..... =========Shaun ==========
  7. I've had great luck doing them with Static Lines, but this adds a HUGE amount of risk into the equation. I was stupid for doing it..... =========Shaun ==========
  8. Gosh, It's posting this kind of stuff on these threads that has gotten me in trouble with my S&TA and Club too many times before. =========Shaun ==========
  9. I've been watching these threads like a hawk, and I want to say thank you to WrongWay for Stating what needed to be said in a Non-condescending and mature manner. Look people, the second you begin to talk down to someone, they stop listening. This little rule just isn't for teenagers or kiddies, if you think about it, it applies to all of us to some extent. If somebody came up to you and the first thing they said was "You know what Pisses me off about you..." (For example only) then you will probably be defensive for the rest of the conversation and not as receptive to good advice. I see this on these forums ALL THE TIME, and It's sad that I can remember a time when it wasn't like this. If somebody needs advice and or CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, say it in a manner that will keep their ears open and help keep them safe. Just my opinion This post was edited for grammer only... =========Shaun ==========
  10. you know, I've got to try that sometime.... =========Shaun ==========
  11. Honesty in a relationship is an absolute must, but then again so is tact. Me personally, I am brutally honest when I need to be, but I wait for the right time. Usually no more than a day or so. What's the point of making a bad situation worse? =========Shaun ==========
  12. I know how you feel man, I've been there for the last 2 or three days now....... Seems like I'm trying to do too much at once in my life and becoming mediocre at everything. Well, Tomorrow is going to look up!!
  13. What was this pilot's new and well-earned nickname?? =========Shaun ==========
  14. Straight / Girlfriend for 5 months / =========Shaun ==========
  15. If he Knows what DeLand is, he probably has had SOME experience in the sport... =========Shaun ==========
  16. W/L statements on the Little Profile things?!?! Sure, why not? Might help the swoopers out and such, but I would hope that it wouldn't encourage people to downsize to look cooler on DZ.com. Nah, people arn't that stupid. =========Shaun ==========
  17. I think that if we take this ENTIRE issue down to it's very base, we see that this is all because people are too concerned worrying about what others think of them and not enough of what they think of themselves. I'm not the person to be taking this kind of advice from, I worry too much about other people and everything in general. =========Shaun ==========
  18. Happy Skydiving Birthday Deuceman!!! I don't know whether to congratulate you on your being fired, but I know things will turn out for the best. Keep us all posted!!! =========Shaun ==========
  19. Can it be??? Is the tobacco industry finally thinking about OTHER people??? =========Shaun ==========
  20. I am not a credibility officer around here, and I KNOW several people that come to my mind that have signed themselves up as Instructors and Jumpmasters who are in fact, far from it. I don't give a rats butt about jump numbers, years in the sport, or anything else, but somebody like that, lying about their Credentials, and giving advice on DZ.com, is going to get somebody hurt! I've sent a PM and done what I can, but If they decide to be stupid, so be it. I am my own person, and I am better than that.....
  21. Hmmmm, paying for jumping by letting researchers stick me with things and see if it makes me sick...... Um, no thanks.... =========Shaun ==========
  22. Mad props to Bill Cole. You have the record man, who cares what the books say?? =========Shaun ==========

    Skygods suck

    The only real skygods I know are too humble to ever use that term to describe themselves. They spend 99% of their time trying to help newer jumpers and welcome outsiders to the DZ. I can only think of Two in my area..... Edited for grammer only.. =========Shaun ==========
  24. Wow, Looks like he has really practiced his PLF's! =========Shaun ==========
