1. talk to your instructors. You really need to communicate any problems you are having to them as directly and honestly as possible. It's safer for you and you'll learn quicker this way. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

rsl
How about a low collision, with anouter jumper inder and open parachute, that requires a low cutaway?
I agree skydiverek. imo low cutaways are the REASON you would use a RSL. If you're high enough to delay a sec then the RSL is redundant. The microsecond the RSL could give you from a cutaway at 700 feet is the main reasons I consider using one. Just my opinion though. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

8. what a monumental leap foward! Seriously thanks for changing things around, its the small things that make forums like these nice to use. Obviously you've thought about this stuff quite a bit. Rock on dude!
9. might not be a jumper, might be his dead friends or brothers or something. Or he could of swiped it. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
10. why dont you climb up to the exit point and laser it down to the ground leaning over the edge? That way you don't have to fuck around with math before you jump! Or is there something wrong with doing it that way? --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

13. there were some guys across the airport one day at my DZ shooting some sort of canon. Rapid machine gun fire is normal from their area. Crazy! --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
14. interviewers expect you to be a bit nervous. I think it shows that you actually care and really want the job. Just keep your cool and be honest with them. You'll do fine. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
15. a rig is like a car, once its driven off the lot it depreciates quite a bit. Not much, but a bit. Remember if you're looking at "dealer prices" on the web or from manufacturer's websites you can usually get another 15% at least knocked off of that with some finangling... 16. what do you do? I have a little bit of spare time on my hands. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
17. probably not many. Think who is the usual person to go get tested. Someone who is having permiscuous sex. Not a married man/woman (usually) (though it is a good idea to get regularly tested). --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
18.
It is surprising to me that Jim, or anyone for that matter, would jump a proto in a world chamionship.
publicity --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
19. why if it was out of date? I don't understand. If someone was really wanting to try to smuggle something through a rig couldn't they pencil pack the reserve pretty easily? For that matter they could get a lead seal and do up a fake one quite easily. I dont follow? --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
20. I heard double wrapping is a good invite to baglock. Any truth behind this? Intuitively I think double wrapping bands is a BAD idea. I think it'd be a lot harder for the band to break/snap (what its intended to do if it doesnt release smoothly) while double wrapped. Comments? --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
21. taking LSD is much safer than drinking/driving. I and my car (and my brain) know from experience. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
22. i have a question about reinflation after object strike. Example, jumper exits, strikes tree branches crashes through and then falls 60 feet to the ground under a partially inflated parachute. Which would be a better theoretical setup (im sure other things apply obviously here...). A canopy with vents or a canopy with vents/valve system? Generally what are some things that you can do after object strike to help reinflation? Any combination of risers? I'm trying to focus on object strike where restriking the object isn't an issue (like my example fell through branches, or maybe bumped endcells hard enough with another canopy to cause a collapse/stall) and not so much a 180 offheading where the biggest issue is probably restrike! Thanks for any input. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
23. ask your rigger if you can borrow one of his/her markers that they do it with. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
24. I, and most everybody else on my DZ who has a helmet wears it for take off. The only people I can think of that dont wear their helmet on takeoff are camera men (who probably would rather damage their skull than their 3,000$ setup ). --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
25.
I know I'm in the vast minority, but I check my reserve pin after every pack job and just before donning the rig.
I'm with you, dude. I check my reserve ripcord after I pack every time. And always right before I don it before heading out to the aircraft. It's a good habit to get into. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
