  1. Come on now, you know it's those liberals! Don't be silly, GWB is a good man, he wouldn't let anything bad happen. Not like that nasty Clinton! Faith in a holy cause is to a considerable extent a substitute for lost faith in ourselves. -Eric Hoffer - Check out these Videos
  2. See, that's the point right there! You have to throw down your credentials right at the start, "I have been there" Like it makes you aware of some occult knowledge that gives you the right to explain how it all is in your reality. I'm not making a moral judgment on what he said or how he's done it. I can just appreciate an argument well made. No argument is better then the one where you have your opponents do the legwork for you. 3. Dude! This may very well be the funniest shit I've ever seen on this site. Brilliant! No offence folks, but he’s got a point. I don’t think his desire is to see someone go in as much as it is to give the rest of you an intolerable idea, have you argue against it in such a way as to prove his idea correct. Wow… That was interesting. Faith in a holy cause is to a considerable extent a substitute for lost faith in ourselves. -Eric Hoffer - Check out these Videos
  4. More important than all these questions is, when if ever, will I get to fly one?! Faith in a holy cause is to a considerable extent a substitute for lost faith in ourselves. -Eric Hoffer - Check out these Videos

  8. Well, I think it's the fact that you were jumping a 230...If I were you I would think about a Stilleto 170! Faith in a holy cause is to a considerable extent a substitute for lost faith in ourselves. -Eric Hoffer - Check out these Videos

  11. Wrong JP Brother...you jumped with Parris JP, that's Byron JP (I think). Listen to ALL these people...Note the disparity in what they are saying. Take them for what they are, a bunch of people you don't know and can't trust. A lot being said is good (even some of the jackasses making light of the cliché I used) (I would like to take this opportunity to point out to all the greenies that the above jackass statement is in no way directed to a single individual. If you feel I just attacked you personally....that's probably because you, in fact, are a jackass) But never take anything away from this or any other site about skydiving and use it without running it by your instructors first. except the stuff about listening... oh yea and the stuff about Follow safety guidelines...to the letter ...and of course "Be smart enough to ask (you're a noob, what should you really know) pack, ADD etc.. are proper prior to boarding the plane." Oh well, like I said...run it by your instructor....or in your case your probi! 14. There are too many up sides of this canopy to list them all. I have around 100 jumps on the Nitro and haven't looked back. I did several jumps with a Stilleto of the same size (135) and found the Nitro better in just about every way. The Nitro opens unbelievably softly and on heading. It is very responsive to toggle input without the twitchiness or over steer of the ST. Riser pressure is less and the recovery arc is longer (not allot...I wish it was longer but...). It has a ridiculous amount of lift at the end of the flare. The Nitro has been forgiving of mistakes so far. When I've come out too high on a swoop, it retains enough energy to allow me to stand up the landing anyway. I haven't put it deep in the corner yet but up high it seems to recover to level flight very fast. I’m jumping the Nitro at 1.7 and at this wing loading it rocks!

  16. or is it 6 or 7 to launch???? I can't remember. I do know it will turn with 4. Anyways all, we put 4 or 5 outside with 2 or 3 in the door all day long with no stall on any load I've been on and I jump out of it every weekend. It's cramped but it's fast so you can't have everything I guess. Prop blast is a bitch when floating but....who cares, it climbs like hell. 19. I know it's an old post but had to add this: fentanyl ie: Duragesic Patch Your absolutely correct! There is enough fentanyl in that patch to kill ya a couple of times over....it's meant as a time release thing. It's like those fools who cold water filter Oxycontin 80's for fun....very bad! 20. But see....I got a fix today. Many variables go in to a decision like this, for example: 1. My dealer is leaving town, so I wont get a hit till after the 22nd 2. I have jump tickets for Lodi where the wingsuits are. But! 3. I haven't done any freeflying in like...a week and a half! 4. I like to mix my drugs. So I think I will be at SD in the morning getting....weird! Faith in a holy cause is to a considerable extent a substitute for lost faith in ourselves. -Eric Hoffer - Check out these Videos

  23. My hands are shaking...I can't concentrate. When I shut my eyes I see funney shaped birds, they're drinking my beer and then one of them turns and says to me, "want another hit boy?" I can't figure out what it means...can anyone help me? Faith in a holy cause is to a considerable extent a substitute for lost faith in ourselves. -Eric Hoffer - Check out these Videos
  24. Get yourself a book and read! Brian Germains book "The Parachute and its Pilot" Is a great place to start. You should be scared shitless your first solo canopy flight. If you weren'e you'd be damaged It gets better, easier, and all around more comfortable. After opening take a big deep cleansing breath, let it out slowley and relax! If you want to know where you are look down past your foot using it as a sight. It's not perfect, but good enough. You know where you are now, just figure out where you want to go! Most of all TALK TO YOUR INSTRUCTORS. Sorry for yelling, just wanted to make sure you heard me. There is good advice on DZ.COM and there is some extreamly bad advice as well. Wait till you have enough experience to know the difference before you take any away from this forum. Your instructors and respected literature are the only ones you should listen to right now.
