Hanging from your feet...How do you launch it?
WeakMindedFool replied to WeakMindedFool's topic in Freeflying
Been seeing pics of people doing hybrids with hangers hanging from chest straps by there feet. How are you launching this? Do you take it out as a piece or fly to it? Is there any safety issues beyond the obvious? Peace! Faith in a holy cause is to a considerable extent a substitute for lost faith in ourselves. -Eric Hoffer - Check out these Videos -
165 is perfect! People tend to slow down as the transition or take docks...If your at 155 it becomes a constant slow down till everyone is reaching for air with all they got. They will Kill for it though! You also have to ask, what constitutes addictive. I remember people saying that coke was not addictive because it's a phychological addiction (these people were doing lots of coke). While meth is bad it's also obvious that there's a big problem. One cigarette seems so...benign. It's harder to see it as a problem when faced with one cigarette. Looking down at that line, or pipe, or spoon, you know exactly how bad your fucking yourself up. As for Pot. I know lots of people smoke out and jump. In my opinion it's a waste of pot and a waste of a jump ticket! But that is MY OPINION only. There is very little objective information out there, certainly none coming out of the U.S.. Anything the ONDCP is suspect, as is most info coming out of NORMAL. Everyone has an axe to grind. The most comprehensive studies (can't remember exactly when but the study comes out of the UK, published in the Lancet and was by far the longest and lagest study ever. The ONDCP had kittens because it disputed so much of thire propaganda) show that it does impair short term memory while under the influence, in other words, bad for a learning environment. As a student you may need to remember some of the stuff your hearing. Faith in a holy cause is to a considerable extent a substitute for lost faith in ourselves. -Eric Hoffer - Check out these Videos

Hybrid Record Judging Draft 3
WeakMindedFool replied to TallGuy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Remove the maximum number in the base. I like the ratios but I would like to build bigger formations. If were gonna go for records, lets go BIG! Edit: Other then that, It's great...oh yea, let hangers hang from their feet! What Gus said. Absolutely first thing is to clear the air BEHIND you. For me it's a 180 in place, transition to my head and flock away. I look to my above and turn the flock into a back track roll to belly and dump. You gotta clear all directions!!! If you can't make the transition from sit to head to flock, you gotta work on that back flying, so you can roll to you back while keeping your fall rate, scan above and behind BEFORE you start moving. Get your friends to do some tracking jumps with you on your back, play with the fall rate and speed (I don't have a tunnel near me either, yet, so that's no help.). Peace! Oil is going there...sooner or later it will be prohibitively expensive. Especially if our good buddies the Sa'ud keep giving shitloads of money to the Whabis, refuge to the Muslim brotherhood, and continue with the most corrupt Government...well, ever. Now that right there is...strange. I have found the opposite to be true. I guess you have a standard so , good for you! So what is it that you prefer? Is it the illusion of control? I'm not being a smart ass(well not completely) I really want to know, why is someone who abstains superior? Lets get the parameters straight, we're talking about people who aren't performing thire duties under the influence, we're talking about people who feel the need to let control slip in the appropriate venue. Might think about doing a ride in the jump plane for one, just to see what happens. Ears can cause all kinds of problems with changing pressures.
