Welcome to the world of Bird suits! It only gets worse! Sometimes I will get out to the DZ an plan on RW all day with an early Bird jump. Next thing I know it;s sunset and I haven't even touched my Bev suit! Everytime I climb into a Bird suit I cuss and complain about getting into it. I swear I will never put one on again. Then I jump and it starts all over. Gotta love it! Way to go Sexy girl!

Gotta go. Have a good weekend Bytch! Dom

He is now on my payroll! (followed by evil laugh) Dom

"The only dark side to all this is my rig is still up in Washington getting the legstraps shortened so I haven't been able to jump since I got here. But it'll be here soon enough.." ----------------------------------------------------------- Are you sure about that? Dom
-
"a good many skydivers smoke" Hey was that a personal attack? You just go ahead and have that case of beer sent over hear buddy! Dom
-
Way over priced at the hospital. Plus they ad on extra expenses, like making sure it is steril. That shit is for sissies! We all know that real skydivers aren't sissies. Dom

Should we start collecting metal to melt down for your new femur rods? Dom

From what I hear they don't have it up there anymore. At least that is what Diablopilot says. He has been talking to Chris about getting down here for us sometime soon. I'll let ya know if we get it. Dom

Somebody should tell those guys in the third on that they are way to close on landing! Some one is gonna get hurt! Dom

I heard that all you have to do is just start thinking about a turn and it just goes. I want to know the vertical speed of the thing. At 11.2 a bet it would be pretty damn fast to say the very least. Hmmmmm, should I wear my Dytter? Dom
-
I wanna jump the 21sq ft Xaos that is out there. From altitude of course and chop before landing. It would be an awesome experience. With my exit wieght that would be about almost 11.2 on the wingloading. Dom
-
That is the point of swooping. The speed and the distance. He is getting some speed but no distance, and the speed seems like it would be more downward then anything with that much of a wingloading. Dom

After reading Bruno's thread I asked him the question "Why would you want to jump such a high wingloading?" I will ask everyone the same thing. If I am correct. The wingloading he is jumping at has no real prupose. The canopy is way overloaded and all he is doing is taking away from the performance, thus making it harder and much more dangerous to land. Is there anyone else out there that does or wants to jump this high a wingloading? Dom

I have read this entire thread and maybe I missed it. Just want to know what is your motivation for flying such a high wingloading? You mentioned earlier that you have surpassed Luigi's wing loading. Was that your goal? To beat his wing loading? BTW I am friends with and greatly admire Luigi's ability as a canopy pilot. I have asked him why he doesn't fly that 46 all the time. He gave me his reasons why he doesn't what are your reasons for pushing it like that all the time? Also in your last response you talked about setting up high for your 270. Accidents happen. What if you think you set up high and didn't? You already admitted you have nothing left to dig out with. It sounds like you have NO MARGIN for error. Why would you not want that margin for error? What happens if you set up perfectly and catch a down draft at the last second. SLAM! That what's happens! I don;t always agree with peoples opinions around here. You have the right to jump whatever wingloading you want. At the same time we have the right to question what you are doing for a number of reasons. The most important off all is that nobody wants to see and more skydivers DIE for stupid reasons. I think peole are worried about your health. Also if you do hurt yourself you will take part in giving our sport a bad name. Sorry for that but it is true. So I ask again, what is your reason for pushing the envelope so hard with that wingloading? Are you on a mission to jump the highest wingloading ever? What? I wish you the best of luck and I hope you never as much as stub a toe. But IMHO you are asking for trouble. Please don't make us have to read about you in the incidents reports. Last thing. EVERY HP PILOT HAS TURNED TO LOW AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER! It's silly to say that never happens. No one is perfect and no one is bullet proof. Don't kid yourself! If they didn't we wouldn't see so many spectacular splashes. If the best in the world do it why wouldn't someone else? Thanks God for water. Dom

The first two weeks with my ex-fiance. The first time I got to hold my little sister! She will always be my favorite. Don't tell her though, her head is already to big! The first time I jumped from a plane. (military) My first Clear and Pull (static line progression) The entire 1st year and a half of my Skydiving career. Dom

99% sure they got the suit from Jari. Sq 1 Sent them the rest of the gear. Including the Alti in question. In return they were supposed to give us a shout out. I can't wait to see it. Dom
-
Haven't seen it yet but that was our gear they used except the suit. I think that came straight form Bird man. Did they plug Square 1? They where supposed to anyway. Dom

Skydiving saves life... Pushes back attempted suicide...
dgskydive replied to kansasskydiver's topic in The Bonfire
I have seen skydiving help people through all sorts of stuff even thoughts of killing themselves. Believe it or not I had a friend that as a big time alcoholic and he stopped drinking so he could afford skydiving. That was a case of beer for us all. Usually skydiving finds a way to get us to dink more. Bottom line is this sport is good for our souls. Dom -
Fuckin A bubba! Go out with a bang! There is one guy who smiles a whole lot if someone mentions any craziness that may or may not have happened that night. The person in question keeps commenting on how crazy things can get in that pool and a few folks refuse to go in until Tom cleans it the next time. Dom

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, Hefeweizen! Is that what got you all fired up last Saturday? Oh wait that night never happend did it!?[devil] Dom
