As a smoker I always try and be considerate of non-smokers. Especially children. I won't smoke in the house if there are children there and won't smoke while holding them and things like that. I do think it bad to do that around kids. I often give shit to my friends who smoke around there little ones. As far as smoking outside goes, back off if I ned a smoke and I am outside leave me alone. There is plenty of room for us all. If I am in my space and you don't like it go away, come back when I am done. Dom

I only told DiabloPilot he is gay twice this week! Dom

I started at a 182 dropzone and never saw this as a big problem. I saw more then a few premature deployments off of the step but never one in the V. Not saying it couldn't happen, just never saw it. IMHO it would take very special circumstances to have your reserve go over the wing. Under the strut seems more likely to me. But never say never. I don;t think it should be banned by any means. I sat in that position a lot. In fact I prefered it. I even shot Tandems from that spot on a few occasions. I could never keep them in frame throught the entire exit though. I liked sittng there because of seeing a few tandems open on the step(short cables). I was afraid I was gonna catch on in the face. Dom

Cause you are lazy! You think you are gonna leave without crying. I will personally get you drunk enough just to see the BYTCH cry! Dom

I saw that on TV last night. Maybe not very useful but cool information non the less. Dom

Dirty thoughts! Dom

Good point! Dom

Listen to the Bytch. She is trying to tell you that the chances are that you are going to hurt yourself under that 135. True none of us have seen you land but the odds are against you. Don't be a statistic. Jump the 150 or 170. Spend time on it. Do a bunch of jumps (like say a few hundred) on the bigger canopies. I bet you will learn faster. It gives you the chance to make a mistake and walk away from it. The same mistake may kill you on the 135. It hasn't been reported yet but a guy just killed himself at Eloy today under canopy. Had more jumps then you on a 150. He had jumped it a bunch and thought he was ready for a 135. Asked if he good demo a 135 and was told NO! Went out and jumped the 150 and killed himself trying to spiral down to the ground. You don't have enough experience to know what you should be jumping yet. Listen to your instructors and the staff at the DZ. I am sure they like you and don't want to see you get hurt or die because you couldn't wait to get a smaller canopy. I know it sucks to rent gear, but in the long run what is more important, saving money or walking striaght. Don't think you are bullet proof. YOU ARE NOT! You may be getting better at skydiving and landing but you are not an expert! You are new, listen to people who want to help. IMHO anyone telling you to jump a 135 and a 113 reserve is doing you an injustice. I think it is a bad idea. Here is to you being safe and staying in the sport a long time. Remember all it takes is one bad decision and your lights may go out forever! Dom

I'm gonna take a long brake from this crazy place. Dom

Are they gonna ban me for talking back? Dom

I guess we can't disagree with a greenie. To bad. Don't make an honest mistake and brake a rule. Don't ty and comply afterwords because it will be to late. Even if you do comply, you will be censored. To bad. I thought we had a fair and senseable groyp of moderators. We may need to ask HH to add an online dictionary so everyone can be on the same page as far as the true definition of a word. I didn't know the dictionary was debatable. Live and learn. Dom

I never saw any blue seat on a 141. Not saying they don;t have them. I just nver saw any. Every 141 or 130 I ever jumped had cargo netting for seats. The damn things where never comfortable. My ass would go numb if it was a long flight before we jumped. Boy was I glad when a fnished Jumpmaster school and could walk around in them without getting yelled at. Dom

Rash guards work for surfing they may work for you to. Go Fast actually makes them in black. A lot of guys and girls where them around here if they are jumping hard all day. Dom

I have seen a few of the tuck tabs break on the Infinity. Usually do to the fact that they are closed wrong. If you don't follow the closing instructions it may happen. Just read the packing instructions and do what you are supposed to and you shouldn't have any problems. If you can't figure it out, give them a call and they will help you out. Dom

The Double wides feel different on the ground that is for sure. It just takes a little getting used to. Under canopy you will appreciate them totally. Like BikerBabe said. It feels more like sitting in the harness then hanging from the harness. I personally advice everyone that buys on to get the double wides, wether they are big or small. I have never had anyone say anything bad about them. Dom

I have to agree with you there Bob. RWS and the other "BIG BOYS" really need to work on their customer service. The will push a sport jumpers order back for weeks so they can take care of a military order. WE have placed orders for risers and other spare parts that have taken months to get for people. Kelly at VSE has great support for his customers and will bend over backwards to help you out and make everything just right. Plus he takes care of your order in the order that it was received. Everyone of his cutomers is just as important as the next. The Sky Hook seems like a really good idea. IMHO I think the jury is still out on the Sky Hook. I have never see or heard of one actually being used yet. Im not saying that they haven't. Just haven't seen them in action yet other then their web site. I wonder if it will end up like the RSL. Some people love them others don't. It will probably end up being antoher huge debate on this site and around dropzones for years to come. "TO HAVE A SKY HOOK OR NOT" The headaches are starting already. IMHO the Infinity is the best overall rig on the market today. Especially if you factor in the support and service, price and quality. Dom

The Fire men are nicer cause they get good practice out here somtimes. We have them trained not to cut off rigs or jumpsuits with out another jumper around. IT's pretty neat to hear them tell each other not to cut anything. "Let the skydivers do it". they don't even have to be told. Sucks about your bill! Dom

Oh Laurie, You know I love you but you are gonna get all the Ghetto folks mad at ya. You should love the Ghetto. So many of the worlds best skydivers have lived there. It actually has a really big tradition. Did youknow that Sqaure 1 started there? Harvey is looking some names up for me, we are trying to see how many world champion skydivers and world record holders have lived there. It should be interesting. I already know of 5 or 6 for sure. ParaQueer... I mean Paragear? I never order from them! I get to good of a discount here. Dom

Glad you are liking it. Stay awhile. Lots of cool people here. I know there are more than a few folks at Perris who would like you to hang out. Dom

She didn't talk to us much on the way home. I don't blame her. She took it like a trooper. All and all I think we where pretty easy on her. Dom

Hell we at least wanted to get back to the Harbor. If we let Laurie drive we would have been eaten by the whales we saw. Dom

Ok. Laurie and I went out Fishing with Tony on Sunday. Great time was had by all. We left out of Oceanside and caught some mackeral first off for bait. Also caught a few Sand Bass. AFter that we went out a few more miles and started trolling. After only being out for less then an hour, BANG! One of the reels started screaming! We started bringing in all the other lines and next thing I know Tony is screaming at the top of his lungs. If you know Tony you know that it is a very rare thing to see him get excited about anything. Anyway, he is screaming "WE GOT A MARLIN, WE GOT A MARLIN!" Since I am the newbie when it comes to deep see fishing, Tony orders me up to the bridge to drive the boat while he reels the damn thing in. Now remember I am the newbie. He starts yelling all these directions out for how to keep the boat and the fish all lined up. Shit, this isn't some little dingy we are on. This is a 36ft. fishing boat with a shit load of buttons and switches and lights all over the place. Of course I f--- it all up and he calls me down to reel it in while he drives the boat. Down I go and get the fidhing rod from him. He starts getting the boat all lined up and the DAMN fish gets away before we can get it all the way up to the boat. But to see this 150 or so pound Marlin jumping not more then 15 to 20 feet from the boat was pretty damn exciting! Then I threw up! F------ waves and orange soda don't go well together! Dom
