  1. QuoteWould you consider some one who jumps out and stays on their belly the whole dive a RW skydiver? I would only consider that an RW jump. If the people can't fly in any other postions then they are belly flyers. What we are talking about is, are you really a freeflyer if you can't fly head down. Dom
  2. QuoteWouldn't you have to include back and belly flying in there if it truly is "free" flying? Exactly! All positions make you free not just two or three. headdown being the final test so to speak. Dom
  3. Quote So if I stay in a sit the entire dive on jump number 1 and stay on my head the entire dive on jump number 2, I am not a freeflier? It not what you do on any one jump. To me it's if you can do all of them. Doesn't have to be all on the same jump. If you can fly in and control yourself in any position then IMO you are a freeflyer. All else are working toward that goal. Myself included. Dom
  4. Nice suit. Even with the grippers I wouldn't use it for RW though. All that drag is gonna make you really have to work at staying down. I am over 6 FT and 200 lbs as well. Some nice swoop cords in a more traditional suit IMHO would be better. If you get the right material and options it will probably work better then what ya got. Make those light wieghts put on some lead! Not trying to knock your suit. It looks like it will be great for freeflying and I like the pattern on it. Just a little more help from a dealer and you could have gotten a Rw suit that would have worked. I wish your friend the best of luck in selling her suits! She might be a little better off getting people what they really need as opposed to selling what she has. We had the same problem with one of our employees before as well. She thought she could put people in the same type of situation with there suits. Big baggy free fly suits with grippers aren't the answer. All it did was piss people off when they figured out that it didn't work well in the long run. They couldn't stay down with the RW formations at all. I hope that doesn't happen to you. Dom
  5. If you choose to stay in one position is one thing. Being able to fly in all positions is another. Dom
  6. Well the ones that have learned to sit, stand and go head down are. Most of them can do Crw and video as well. Dom
  7. QuoteThere is a preclusion in your question and answers. It is that a freeflyer is made by ones capability to fly a particular position Not just one postion, but all of them make you IMHO a freeflyer. Until then you are working to become one. It's like the old TV show KungFoo. "Take the pebble grasshopper". Once you can do that last thing you are complete in that way. I have a lot of respect for people that fly on there heads. One of my new found hobbies is watching the Flyboyz and Alchemy in the tunnel. It is amazing to me how good they are on ther heads and they can all do fairly good RW. So in my mind they are true freeflyers. They can fly on any axis at anytime. Dom
  8. Same question from me. What? Why can you only stay in a sit? Dom
  9. Maybe everyone should be Freestylist until the can go head down (then they are truly free). Dom
  10. It is just one of those things that makes you go hmmmm? What are they really? Dom
  11. Of course I know what a Freeflyer is. What do you consider freeflyin? I have had this talk with a few people and want to get some other opinions. My point is that just because you can Sit and Stand you are not really a freeflyer. People have been sitting, standing and back flying for over 20 years. It is nothing new. When this whole freeflying thing came about it was only the people that could fly in all demensions that where called freeflyers. It was the head down that made the difference. That is when you are really free. For the record I am mostly an RW guy. I can sit and stand but still tend to slide all over the place. Do I deserve to call myself a freeflyer? I don't think so. Once I can fly in all demensions I will call myself a freeflyer. What do you think? Dom
  12. BRRRRRRR!!!!!! I am so glad I live in So Cal. It is damn near 80 degrees here today. Gotta love it! If I stand outside I might start sweating! Dom
  13. Damn that second one looks like it could be PERRIS, Ca. Dom
  14. Now someone that is getting paid to talk about Aerodyne can do some work around here! My fingers are tired from all the pm's I have been answering. What up Aubrey!?!? Dom
  15. What a beautiful baby! Usually they are all ugly about that age. She looks very happy. Dom
  16. i just want to clarify my previous post. It seems it was taken the wrong way by one of our beautiful ladies that we are voting for. I was stating that I like BKdices the best and that they had a history of being sexy yet tastefull. That in no way means that I think any of the Avatars are trashy or slutty in anyway. I just liked hers the best, and there was a bunch of different ones that I had seen of hers. Dom
  17. You will really like it. The only down side is that it has less of a resale value if you are thinking of downsizing again. In that way the Sabre2 may be the way to go for you. Although as you can see by the forum here that a lot of folks are learning about the Pilot and loving them once they get there hands on one. So my guess is you are going to start to see a lot of them out there real soon. Dom
  18. QuoteIn fact, it is not an evolution of the Tempo (according to Aerodyne). Correct it is built on the Triathlon Planform. So all of you Tri pilots out there should love the Smart Dom
  19. All nice entries, but BKdice has had a history of sexy yet tasteful avatars. She wins hands down. Although Dove does have a nice ass! Dom
  20. You wish you knew her! Dom
  21. The Pilot is way better then the Hornet. The big misconception right now is that the new Aerodyne canopies are copies of the old PISA canopies. THEY ARE NOT! The Pilot blows the Hornet away IMHO. It is a GREAT canopy. I have put over 100 jumps on a 150 and never had a bad experince with it. It is a smart choice for anybody looking for a new canopy. Plus with the price you can't beat it anywhere. I have also put a lot of jumps on ther 132 Vision. This is a great canopy as well. It is suppoesed to compete with the Stiletto. It falls short of that, but I would reccommend it to anyone just going to Elliptical canopies. It is very forgiving and lands really nice as well. It just needs to be flown harder then the Stiletto to get the same type of landing speed as the Stiletto. So far It has proven to be very reliable and easy to pack. I used it all through a big way camp and never had any issues with off heading openings. I would suggest it to anyone that is looking for more then a SABRE2 or Pilot but does not want to worry about the potential line twists that Stilettos seem to have. For the record I have jumped Stilettos and have not had a problem with line twists but that seems to be the biggest complaint about the Stiletto. Once again the price on the Vision blows the Stiletto away as well. Dom

    Puckered up?

It is actually a Dolphin. Look at the tail fin. It goes Horizontal. Nice pick though. Watch out for Ivan. Dom
  23. Here is something to think about as well. DO you actually let go of your pilot chute at 3,800 ft. or do you start your wave off at 3,800 ft. ? Next time you pull look at your ALti and see what altitude you let go at, then look at where you are under canopy. You will see a difference in what you thought you where doing before. Dom
