Nah. That would be fun, but you'd enjoy it too much. Congrats to both of you!

Any of the containers you mention will be a good first container, as would pretty much any container on the market. Some things I think are important to consider when choosing your new container (note - order is not based on importance) - 1. Safety – Which container is safest? In my opinion every new container on the US market will be safe regardless of what type of flying you intend to do. 2. Price – What can you afford? When comparing prices between two or more containers be sure you are comparing the total cost including all of the options that you want. Containers are priced like new cars; there’s the base price, then there are the options. Options can as much as double the your total price of a container depending on which and how many options you choose to put on it. 3. Delivery time – How long are you willing to wait? Delivery times for custom containers vary depending on the manufacturer and what time of year it is. Delivery times vary between 4 and 26 weeks for the most popular containers. 4. Looks – Which container(s) do you prefer the look of? 5. Customer service from the manufacturer – Some manufacturers do a better job of taking care of customers before and after delivery of your new container. In my opinion, if you buy any new harness/container system and it is sized to fit your body measurements and the canopies you put into it, it will be comfortable and work just fine for whatever kind of skydiving you intend to do.

So every time you drink a beer you think of me? Wow. I never dreamed that I was on your mind that much!

Going to class, doing homework, History According to Bob podcast, red beans and rice, rum and coke, Premiere Pro, being unemployed, the Davis wiki, The Sims 2, Dreamsicle incense, dual 19" monitors and leaving rude messages on flyangel2's voice mail.
-
Don't stop jumping, just quit working in the industry. Skydiving is way more fun when you don't have to care.
-
That'd be a pint of Mississippi Mud, an nice, unassuming little black and tan.
-
Yes. But I'm a poor college student. If you know where I can buy 2 19" LCD's for $75, lemme know, I'll be happy to upgrade. Until then, I'll force myself to get by with these monsters.
-
Yes. Yes I do. Which is why I'm not sure I could handle both of you.
-
You're always welcome to come visit. Although I dunno if I could handle two Keith's at the same time.
-
Yup! Fry's is a bad, bad place....
-
Yes, but you can't buy two 19" LCD monitors for $75.

That bottle is SO not full. Depending on how I'm feeling, it's either half full or half empty.
-
I don't think I have enough display area. What do you think?
-
You guys don't get paid nearly enough... Nice pics! Looks like someplace I'd like to go hiking. In the summer.
-
Yet another reason I won't be getting an English degree.

I've got a ProTrack and a Neptune (I use the Neptune as a visual alti). Both work well, and from my experience (8 years selling skydiving equipment) both manufacturers do an excellent job of taking care of their customers. I don't think you'd be unhappy with either of them.
-
At least you got paid. I've spent about 3 hours today working on (okay, okay, and bitching loudly about) what has to be one of the silliest homework assignments ever. I truly believe that it is impossible to summarize 8 pages of dull and boring statistics in one coherent, grammatically correct sentence. Did you know that between September of 2002 and September of 2003 the number of people in the US volunteering their time went up by 1.4% and most of the people volunteering were women?

Ahh.... I see.... What's that like?
-
What is this "normal" you speak of?
-
Geez, and here I was thinking you was all talented and shit.
-
You did that? Really?!? And it's gonna be on MTV? That's so cool! Congrats!
-
Absolutely. I'd probably have 5000 jumps by now if I'd have quit logging 10 years ago.
-
I enjoy looking back at my old logbooks and remembering the jumps. It's also important to me to know exactly how many jumps I've done so I make a point of keeping my logbook up to date. I still log every jump I make, usually before I jump again but sometimes I'll wait til the end of the day or even a day or two later. Having a ProTrack makes it easy to get a bit lazy.

Because he was told "two to three weeks" does not mean it will take "two to three weeks." In the over 15 years that I've been a member it's never taken that long. I'd be surprised if he doesn't have his card in the mail sometime next week. Quoted directly from the renewal form in Parachutist magazine - "Normal processing and delivery of membership card takes three to four weeks. Expedited processing with email or fax confirmation is done within 48 hours." (note - emphasis mine) It takes as long as it takes. Forget to renew and need it for a special event? Accept the fact that you screwed up and pay the extra $20. Seems really simple to me.

You've known that you're going to the boogie for how long? Lack of prior planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on anybody's elses part.
