If this were the case then why did Bill Booth license others to use his 3 ring system?
-
Wow. I'm glad I don't live in your world.

But... but... I got called a bitch repeatedly when I was a mod. Oh wait. That's cuz I am the Bytch. Nevermind.

Catholic girls At the CYO Catholic girls Do you know how they go? Catholic girls There can be no replacement How do they go After the show?

Depends on the person flying it. I've seen people swoop Diablo's pretty far - not as far as a crossbrace but farther than some people can make their Crossfires and Katana's go.

Hey hey hey all you girls in these industrial towns I know you're prob'ly getting tired of all the local clowns They never give you no respect they never treat you nice So perhaps you oughta try a little friendly advice...

Clowns.

Have you heard Wingie's duck joke? I'd tell it to you but it wouldn't be the same.
-
So what's your's?

I dunno. You'd have to ask my former employers. And 14,731 posts isn't that many when you consider it's taken me almost five years to amass them. Besides, I used to be green so I had to post a lot. Really I did.

What makes you think I like them?

4000:1:0 Got to be on a very, very, very good friend's 4000th jump on Saturday. We did a 12 way RW jump and turned 3 points. This week I'm going to take the footage from four different cameras and edit them together (if I can figure out Premier Pro, that is...).

History and philosophy are great. The history teacher is a bit dry but the subject matter is interesting; we'll see how I feel about that one after our first test (on Wednesday! Guess what I'm doin for the next two days...). The philosophy teacher is awesome. We're discussing logic and argumentation - a dry subject at best - and he's making us laugh a lot.

how much skill is needed to deal with malfunctions?

You can go up to 15,000 feet MSL (mean sea level) without oxygen. The planes at Perris don't routinely go above 12,500 AGL (above ground level), which is about 14,000 feet MSL. Special clearance from ATC is required for them to exceed that altitude - lots of heavies fly through that airspace. -

Skydiving isn't for everybody. That's okay. But if you're going to do it you need to understand and accept the fact that you can be seriously injured or die doing it. Far better to figure this out now, before you've dumped a whole bunch of money and time into it. If you can't/won't accept that you can be seriously injured or die, even while doing your student jumps, I'd suggest not jumping again. -
I guess the fact that there were only 13 students out of 40 left in the class after the first week should have told me something about the instructor...

If you enjoy writing I'd suggest that you never, ever, ever take a college composition class. I'm only two weeks into my first one and already I'm sure that there is no better way to remove all pleasure from something that I previously viewed as enjoyable. And now I must return to my assigned task of stretching one paragraph worth of what I think about some unknown person's critique of someone else's article into one to two pages of typed, MLA formatted "reading response"...

You practice emergency procedures on the ground - preferably in a hanging harness with an instructor or other knowledgable person observing and critiquing, but it's also useful to practice them physically while geared up waiting for the plane, mentally while doing dishes or other mindless chores, etc. Practicing the physical motions builds muscle memory. We hope that having the right way to respond in muscle memory will overcome any possible "oh shit what do I do now?" mental reaction to a malfunction. Practicing how you want to react to situations mentally (through visualization) will hopefully reduce or eliminate the "oh shit what do I do now?" reaction. I'm still waiting to use the emergency procedures that I practice at least once before every skydive. I hope I'll react as I've trained myself to but until it happens I really don't know if I will or not. -
Yup. He was also one of the few who managed to keep his job and eat well enough to not turn into a skeleton while using. Happily, today he is completely clean. He quit doing meth 7 years ago, quit drinking 4 years ago and quit smoking dope 3 years ago. He's now a "productive member of society" - owns a house, has a long term girlfriend and a wonderful kid and recently started his own business. The entire family is very proud of how he has turned his life around.
-
Not to me, but from what I've seen it affects different people in different ways. A (former) friend of mine developed a meth habit about ten years ago - she started using it to lose weight and kept using it so she could keep up with her two little kids. She was constantly scratching and had open sores on her arms, legs and face after only a year or so of using the shit. On the other hand, a relative of mine was a daily user for almost 10 years and he didn't have them at all.

Wow! When did they start doing a Fucking Olympics? That might be kinda fun to watch. What events do they compete in? Quickies in public? Doggy style? Are there minimum and maximum equipment standards? And how do they judge it? I can't see how it would be anything but subjective. I think I'd be pretty upset if I made a guy have multiple orgasms and some other couple won cuz they did it while doing back flips, y'know?

Hey Mar? Fuck you.

Fire you.
