Yes you do. So it's obvious that you don't see me nearly often enough.
-
I did for most of last year, but I've been happily unemployed since the first of December.
-
You must have me confused with someone else. I'm unemployed.

Hardly anybody screams "BYYYTTTCCCHHHH!!!" across the hangar at me anymore. I kinda miss it.

Congrats! That's awesome! My brother is on his third year of sobriety and he's happier than he ever was before. It's so cool to see him happy and productive after so many years of hating his life.

I haven't seen anybody saying that. What I see here is people saying that there's nothing wrong with loading a canopy under 1.0 when someone is still learning, especially when that person is a featherbutt, and that going from a 240 to a 170 in one jump isn't a real good idea. Personally, I think a 170 is a good starting point for someone who weighs about 100 pounds. Remember, most people who weigh that little will need to wear weights to keep up with heavier people in freefall; that means that 100 lb person could be out the door at 135 lbs or more. 135 lbs exit weight is about a 0.8 wingloading on a 170. That is not at all unreasonable. Even Brian Germain, who arguably knows more about parachutes and learning to fly them than everybody posting in this thread put together, says that wingloading is not unreasonable.

Yeah. What she said.

I blame you for the rum and coke I now have dripping from my monitor.
-
Heh. Same here. So far anyway. Ever go back and read your drunk posts when you're sober? I can't do that anymore; it makes me long for the days when I was green and there was no time limit on editing them.

What?!? I thought everyone has a favorite "it's noon somewhere" beer!! I'm pacing myself. He'll be home in a couple hours; the line between "animal" and "passed out" is pretty thin...
-
That is the world's best breakfast beer! We brought back a sixpack and it went away really quick. I'm gonna have to have Keith bring me back more this year.

Mmmmm..... their Mandarin Hefeweizen is simply to die for. Another excellent Hefe is made by Pyramid. Easy to find in NorCal and the Bombshelter at Perris has it on tap.

You said beer. Keystone Light does not qualify as beer.

Puppy. X is well worth a listen. One of the pioneers of the genre.
-
Negative. X. John Doe and Exene Cervenka. First album was "Los Angeles" (early 80's); songs like "Johnny Hit and Run Paulene", "Los Angeles" and a kick ass cover of The Door's "Soul Kitchen". Good shit.
-
I guess I was dating myself by mentioning X... but c'mon, they were there at the start of it all in LA...
-
OMFG!! Was that you??? I still tell that story!!! Holy shit!!! Bonz transitioned me from S/L to AFP that same weekend! Karen ended up on the GK's; last I heard from Chuck Blue (from Raeford, his ex-wife was on the team with Karen) she's now married and has a kid or two.

LMAO! Gotcha. I do like light beer is for those all day drinking binges, but I prefer the cheap shit (Miller Lite, et al). Gets you to a certain "set point" and then no matter how many more you drink you don't exceed it. Yeah, it tastes like crap but after the first twelve pack I can't taste it anymore anyway!

Light beer? Why bother?
