No idea. Don't even know who's been arrested yet, but I have very many friends amungst the 100(+/-) present that day, im still trying to find out that its not any of them in custody. I do hope the two arrested are the right two and that they get whats comming. We'll have to wait to find out who they are and if they're guilty.

Maybe because your in the states or something... It basically says that they've arrested 2, the rest is just padding. the article reads: *** Skydive murder police arrest two Stephen Hilder was an experienced skydiver Police investigating the death of a skydiver who plunged 13,000 feet when his parachute was allegedly sabotaged have arrested two people. Two men aged in their 20s were arrested at 1245 BST on Wednesday on suspicion of murder. They have been taken to separate police stations, where they are being interviewed by detectives. Stephen Hilder, 20, an Army cadet from Hereford, died when both his main and reserve chutes failed above Hibaldstow Airfield in north Lincolnshire on 4 July. Humberside Police had conducted hundreds of interviews of people who knew Mr Hilder, along with fellow students at the Defence Academy in Shrivenham, Oxfordshire and Bristol University. A specialist officer with skydiving experience had been brought in to give the team of detectives a clearer insight into the world of skydiving and offer detailed technical knowledge. Officers recently investigated Mr Hilder's movements in the days leading up to the fatal jump and considered the possibility he had arranged to meet someone in the Scunthorpe area.

On this day in 1797, Andre-Jacques Garnerin made the first recorded parachute jump. He made the jump from about 3,000 feet. Useless bit of history for you all

lets see... 4 years of law school... 1st year did nothing but drink, (I mean seriously the year's a blur). 2nd year worked full time but worked real hard at uni too 3rd year still working but also worked real hard at uni 4th year took up skydiving and didnt work much at all at uni or at work. Passed everything first time with a top grade. Then did a year at Bar school... worked insainly hard for 6 months (yes insainly is the only way to describe it) then pissed off to perris for 2 weeks skydiving instead of doing any revision before my finals which I took the week after I returned to the UK. I passed everything with one of the highest grades in my year. I get called to the Bar next month. Whoo for me. Just proves you don't actually have to revise so long as you are shit hot... its just convincing everyone else that your shit hot that takes hard work.

I’m disappointed that MENSA can’t even get their grammar right! Its “An octopus”, NOT “A Octopus”

Do you remember your first time and their name?

Rebecca Fenwick, in her bedroom in the Lincolnshire town of Broughton about 5 miles from Hibbalstow airfield. It was a week or so before Christmas 1996, I was 16. -
the former.... yes its possible... my memory shall forever be scarred with the evidence

I'd be pissed if my reserve flew like a sabre. on the couple of occasions that my sabre has twisted (screwed locking stow leading to uneaven deployment) it dove off almost vertically until I kicked a couple of twists out. when I demoed my reserve and made it open with twists the thing just flew straight and level until I took the twists out at my lesure.

I have a 176 reserve which I have test jumped (demo canopy) and I've more than happy that I could land it in the worst of situation (well at least as well as any canopy). Im about to downsize from a 190 to a 170 and will be keeping the 176. Im looking for a 160 though. I have no plans to go any smaller than the 160... ever. Plans change, but I can not see any worthy advantage in me ever going smaller than a 160 reserve. The advantages are asthetics and the disadvantages are death and serious injury.

Some people just like to argue... I get paid to do it so would never even dream of doing it on here

I don't know if thats because they have pop tops or becuase they are Racers.

I'll be there, infact my car is already packed and my rig is sat behind me in the office (so it can't get nicked from the car park). I'm there from tonight, you'll see me, im the one that looks like I've been doused in petrol and had a match tossed at me. Thanks for all the responses guys, I think I'll be buying the canopy next weekend.

Two Irishmen walk into a pet shop. Right away they go to the bird section and Mick says to Paddy; "Dat's Dem". The shopkeeper comes over and asks if he can help. "Yeah, we'll take four of dem dere budgies in dat cage op dere", says Mick. "Put dem in a pepper bag". The shopkeeper does as asked and the two pay for the birds and leave. They get into Mick's van and drive until they reach a cliff with a 500ft drop. "Dis looks loike a grand place", says Mick. He then takes two of the birds out of the bag, places them on his shoulders and jumps off the cliff. Paddy watches as his mate drops off the edge and goes straight down for a few seconds followed by 'Splat'. As Paddy looks over the edge of the cliff he shakes his head and sas,"Fock Dat, dis budgie jumpin' is too fockin dangerous for me..." A few minutes later, Seamus approaches. He too has been to the pet shop and is carrying the familiar 'pepper bag'.He then pulls a parrot out of the bag and Paddy notices that in the other hand Seamus is carrying a gun. "Watch this Paddy" he says, as he launches himself over the edge of the cliff. Paddy watches as half way down Seamus takes the gun and blows the parrot's head off. Seamus continues to plummet until there is anoter 'Splat' and he joins Mick at the bottom of the cliff. Paddy shakes his head and says, "An' oim never troyin' that parrotshooting oider..." After a few minutes, Sean arrives. He too has been to the pet shop and he strolls up with his 'pepper bag. Instead of a parrot he pulls a chicken out of the bag and off the cliff with the usual result. Once more Paddy shakes his head - "Fock me Sean, first der was Mick with his budgie jumpin, den Seamus parrotshooting and now you fockin' hen gliding. (Appologies if this has already done the rounds)
