  1. You going with the BCPA? The number of people going you don't want to take public transport - especially not with the amount of gear you will all be lugging. Me and my mate Sam are arriving about 2 hours before everyone else and will have hired 2 van's to get everyone going to Perris to the DZ. The rental works out at peanuts between the 25ish going there. You should look into doing the same for Elsinore. I think Jason Brister was organising that element of the trip - if not ask who he's delegated that duty to. Or are you arriving at a different time to everyone else?
  2. Thats not a sabre - thats a sabre2. The two canopies are completely different and share only the name. Sabre 1 - reputation for hard openings - not all examples - can easily be tamed Sabre 2 - growing reputation for soft but somtimes off heading openings - not all examples - not conclusively shown to be the canopy
  3. your not wrong. My Bad - I was thinking of your next door neighbour Norway. My Bad. That and the fact that Finland is not in the EEC.
  4. Well, its still true that at the majority of DZ's the packers are there for students, staff or "working" jumpers and only do the odd bit of experianced kit. We simply don't have anything to compare to the prevelence of packers on American DZ's.
  5. their version of "independant woman" really is great though. Went down a storm over here in blighty - there's even a load of TV adverts done by them now too. http://www.rathergood.com/independent_woman/
  6. Thats one of the reasons it IS mandatory in the UK to carry a hook knife on ALL jumps - unintentional CRW.
  7. In the UK, other than in exceptional circumstances (eg knackered etc) everyone ordinary jumper packs their own gear. There simply are no such things as full time packers for ordinary club jumpers. There are packers for camera men, tandems, AFFI's but even then, most of them pack their own gear too unless they're real buisy.
  8. wierd - it change on my pc in between my posts about what FF suit and the AHHH post. ah well
  9. na - kurupee. I've alread got some FF pants by them. agm avatar - you just changed your avatar... looks like a pick from the agm?
  10. aHHHH - AGM avata just poped up
  11. they're cool. I'm ordering mine tomorrow night with a group of mates. We're putting 7 suits through the same co so I talked em into giving us a little discount. Should have them in 3-4 weeks
  12. Ah - I copy - that was a few years back
  13. ah I know he's joking. The problem is genuine though. With men always sounding like pervs (or at least society considering them pervs) when giving complements is perhaps the route of why many men can't / don't. I've also noticed dificulty describing someone.... Imagine "she's the tall slim blonde" - I sound like a perv again, but thats her description damnit. society - pfft.
  14. Yeah sure I'll come say hello. And yes I was serious - just giving a complement where a compliment is due. (Yes, reading it again, men simply CANNOT give a complement without sounding like a perv)
  15. er... there will be like 40 of us by then.... I'd best not bring the whole club or it'll turn into a UWE outing with some DZ.commer hanger ons
  16. hehehe - no stalking, just happen to be in town. PS: why cant a man give a compliment without sounding pervy?
  17. Off the back of that Vanilla, I have to say that you are probably the most beautiful women I have ever seen a photo of and I look forward to seeing you in person when I’m out in Elsinore over Easter, even though I’ll probably be so much in awe of your beauty that I won’t dare so much as come over and say high. Some of the photo’s you’ve posted could well make a sceptical man think there just might be something to this religion malarkey. There could hardly be a more perfect rendition of humanity than you. This is a truly honest comment on what I have seen here, with absolutely no ulterior motive save for simply telling the truth and making a woman feel good about herself. And you’re nice to boot. Whod’a thought such a perfect woman existed? (PS I’m real too).
  18. Canada is in North America - its the continent its on. Finland may or may not be in Europe - it depends on the definition you use. Geographically Europe is everything West of the Ural mountains in Russia (Yes its in Europe). Politically (the EU) it is a select group of countries who have signed up (No its not in Europe). (Just being a smart ass)
  19. Ah, thats only cos you have a Cypres... what you need to do is hook your RSL up - no unhook it - no wait, um....
  20. Same here - £6.50 including S+H for 2 (me and my housemate). E-bay is the best place for accesories and tapes.
  21. Im up for either light or dark side shinanigans I'f I come (I will if I'm free on the date) i'll probably bring at least one car load of mates. They're all lurkers so should be welcome... right?
  22. could also be team icarus - were they trailing smoke and cutting in between mountain peaks?
  23. yeah - whatever did happen to Mr. T? Last I saw of him was a cameo in "Not Another Team Movie"...
