Do the math - 1967 through to 2004 - is 37 years 2003 plus 37... we'll get to argue about those incidents in 2040 when there's a report out about them. Thats how modern democracies work.

hair's blown down against head and face so she's in head down.... but the grounds beneath her feet.... its PS'ed to some degree.

Think TRV for best features for money. The 14 and 19 are the two current ones but you can get basically the same for a less money. Then there's the PC series which are more ££ but smaller. Think slightly older for the best bargains such as the PC101 or PC6 upwards with a little drop in picture quality. BUY PAL not NTSC !

All very funny and true.

The most obvious reason that jumps to attention is that they were severely pissed that the ship being the "most advanced survalence ship afloat at the time" was spying on them and what they were up to in the war. Whether they were just worried about security, worried that the international community might not like some ofthe things they were up to, or just plain pissed they were being spied on who knows. Perhaps all the aerial activity that was reported, including being buzzed at 200ft was Israels way of warning to the ship to get out of the area- this was mis-interpreted as them attempting to identifying the ship. Perhaps israel then decided to act when the ship didn't heed their "warnings". The way israel took the ship out, jammed thier radio, then machine gunned the survivors (according to the report) makes it seem like they thought the ship had uncovered something or had some info they didn't want to get out. If a runner is still alive he still carries the message.

its gay - but Dustin's way is the way I always have to end up doing it. Either turn the mark on and off in between prints or cut and paste pages into another doc - one doc with the mark the other without.

no - it says to only use PD reserve Slinks on its their reserves and not ordinary Slinks. (or for that matter Slinks made by any other manufacturer).

the date is less important than the MK number. AFAIK there's a mkI, mkII mkIII and the Odyssey.
-
hehehe - its an extra from Happy Days

I've got an idea for a great advance with the MKII of the system. How about you replace the three rings with a pair of electro-magnets! Then all the CREEPS has to do is switch the magnets off and hey-presto a cutaway. Similarly the user could manually action a cutaway by simply hitting the trip switch. Thus you have infinatly re-usable risers.
-
There are many potential problems with this device - you have highlighted the problem with needing to replace the risers. Others would point to the potential disasterous consequences of a mis-fire. Some may concluded that it leads to complacencey or a willingness to neglect training. You may be concerned by the fact that you are relying on softwear to perform what has been up to now a manual task. You may conclude that the user interface, being entirely based around the watch unit, is too small for use in emergency situations or not user friendly enough. Many may have concerns that newbies will be tempted to pick this device up without the appropriate EP re-training. PM for my personal concerns with the system.

even if it is - the season will be at least a month closer and you'll have at least a month's wages in your pocket.

I like the way he puts it in his account: READ - I screamed like fuck and started swearing a lot. I'm not sure how he knew - maybe some kind of telepathy that builds between good pilots, my fellow pilot got the message that something was amis.

Buisy for Nethers - will come to Hib for sure. Jump video but I refuse to coach taquela drinking this time.

cut and paste works fine for me

I'd rather have nuisance tripps than a house fire - wiring is the most common cause of house fires.

Relative canopy size at altitude
mr2mk1g replied to mr2mk1g's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Thanks, I know there is an actual equation out there though which gives an acurate figure for the actual size. I've qot quade's info on speed/density corrolation but I'm trying to figure out how big parachutes fly at different altitudes. -
I thought he walked into a spike and it broke off in his head.... what did happen?? if you re-post put a description of what happened
-
I would vote for a great big "dirty sanches" mustache and side burns to cover the identity but I fear that, whilst funny, this would once again get peoples hackles up.
-
doh - you beat me to it.
-
how about photoshoping it so his face is blured out or a smiley is stuck over it. Then add that he survived fine and repost. All happy? or would many still take offence?
-
Same here - I think it's no more offensive than a video of your failed hookturn, or your fubar'd leg in plaster or ripped pants. Don't many DZ's have a wall for such pics to serve as a warning? Such posts serve as a salient warning to all of the dangers arround us in our sport. A little gruesome though if the guy was dead... he was identifiable for example. Perhaps the x-ray shot would have been sufficient then. But as he survived I don't see a problem with it.
-
What was the outcome? Did the guy survive?
