Help for the identification of a plane
mr2mk1g replied to Aile's topic in Skydiving History & Trivia
Of the three I’ve got to admit the L-10 looks the most like it. See these links for comparative photo’s: Lochead 10E:http://www.aircraftmodels.com/images/racers/L-10.jpg Loadstar:http://www.100megspopup.com/photo4phood/webaircraft/lsfmc60-6a.jpg Beech 18:http://www.arc-duxford.co.uk/images/beech_18.jpg (you'll have to cut and paste the loadstar URL because for some reason the website will not let you see it just by clicking on the link). -
I like it... "My number's up... it's your fault and you're comming with me!"

Twin Beech edit to add: (yeah - what he said) -
How did the canopy fly with just the one break stowed? Did you have to use the risers just to keep level flight? Good luck with that wing loading.

At least it had nippy women in it!

Get it checked out. Get an inflatable rubber ring to sit on and stick the area of most pain over the hole. Then take non-steroidal anti-inflamatories.

Worst ever movie - Avengers. Absolute trite! (funny considering it was Uma Thurman who's now the film world's darling after her debatable performance in Kill Bill).

How about my Wings in tie-dye red and yellow - it comes out a kinda orange: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_attachment;postatt_id=19638;

Neverendless question - Wings,Javelin,Javelin Odyssey
mr2mk1g replied to extreme's topic in Gear and Rigging
You're not gonna find that many people on here who will agree with that. Even where people prefer the Jav (or whatever) to the wings, most agree that the Wings is a very nice system. In my opinion - the main closing flap on the Jav goes the "wrong" way. ...but it's an excellent container dispite that, just like 90% of the market. -

What do you do as a third party who knows someone's cheating?
mr2mk1g replied to Vallerina's topic in The Bonfire
I'd say her only responsability is to her friend and to see that her friend is not hurt (or at least hurt the as little as possible). That's why I think how she feels about the 3rd party should be irrelevant. If her actions differ depending on how she feels about the 3rd party then she is motivated by malace and not by a wish to help her friend. That saddens me. The trouble is that it can often be very difficult to see which course of action would least expose your friend to upset. Unless of course your friend is of the opinion that anyone who cheats is a no-no... but then something like 60 odd% of women would take back a cheater... Try broaching the subject with your friend suruptitiously - see what her views are about a cheating lover... but be careful not to give the game away. If she believes that a cheat should be dumped then there's your answer. If not, then you are left with the dilema that her not knowing may be the least hurtful circumstances... -
Their ideas are no more fancyful than any other organised religion. We just laugh at them because we "know" them to be wrong. But then all religion's claim to "know" everyone else is wrong... but since most claim thier god is the only god someone must be wrong somewhere...

Hell, just use an internet cafe and create a new hotmail account - simple as that. There's absolutely no way they could trace you from that. -
It really sounds like he was hitting on her and saw your offer to video the jump as a threat.

That's what I was referring to.

It doesn't have to say it in the article - it's been in the news here for going on 10 years and over that time "hunting" has come to mean "fox hunting with a pack of hounds". In case you're not familiar with the scene - see the attached pic, (yes the silly clothes are mandatory). (sorry the pic's small)

I just spent three weeks there - its fine. Alex Allen is currently running the place and doing an awsome job of it. Say hi to him for me - he's a cool guy. 1. Label your food: There is a sensible rule that you can eat/drink anything not labled so Alex doesn't have to constantly clean out the fridge from all the rotten shit people leave behind. 2. Eat anything not labled: (see 1). 3. Keep the place clean: think of Alex. 4. Fill in a page in the visitors book. 5. Hold the flusher down on the toilet for a few seconds or it'll end up blocked at some point during your stay. 6. Try and get into Room A or B as they are single beds instead of bunks and there are far fewer people in the rooms minimising the chance of a snorer.

I don't care where the thing is advertised I'm not gonna spend a lot on it unless I can see it before I buy it. It might be a magazeen, newspaper, internet, or E-bay... same principal. I'm looking for a car on e-bay at the moment as they go stupidly cheap on it over here. Still would never buy without seeing though. Once you've had the opportunity to see it, it doesn't exactly matter if it's ebay or not - you're in exactly the same situtation, except with e-bay at least you stand a chance of getting SOME of your money back if they somehow manage to rip you off.

So it seems the days when all a fugitive has to do is cross a stream to get the dog patrol off his scent have returned. (My friends and I joke: "White men can't jump, but black men don't" because of the extremely low number of skydivers from ethnic minorities).
