    I spoke with Ray Cottiingham today, for those that don't know, Ray was one of the early freefall camera flyers. He said the first he can remember was a Sony set up in 1968 or 1969. He said the tape deck weighed 45 lbs. and the camera portion was only a pound or so and mounted on you helmet. In order to jump it you had to wear a "piggyback" rig and there were not that many around then. Things sure have come a long way to the tiny digital unit worn today.     I say go ahead and load your 7 cell, F-111 type material reserve to 1.7 or even 1.8. Then you should go to church everyday and pray you never have to use it.     I agree with you. But everyone's standards and morals should not be forced on others. Jan got jumped on because of her abrasive manner and belittling of others efforts. This is not the first time she has done this, and I am sure it won't be the last. These women have come together to try and do something good.     Do you have any idea what their way is. Both you and Jan have no idea what the calendar is going to look like or how it will present women in skydiving. Any point you make or are trying to make is uninformed and without any basis in fact. Climb down off your high horse long enough to see how this project comes out. I don't know if I would have the cojones to land backwards I know I would then have the cojones to do my presecond cutaway Several years ago I signed of a guy (Gary Cobb) for his Pro rating.     Oh yeah, I forgot to mention do not call grown women 'girls'. Do not take this personally, I tell everyone this. Same with 'chick'. . You need to loosen up on your "My way is the only right way" attitude. How do you justify telling anyone what to call "grown women". Some call them mother and other call them Honey as in wife. Do you feel they should check with you first. You have every right to your opinion on any subject out there, but you have no right to jump on someone who's opinion happens to be different then yours.     Yea, what Lisa said. Just remember, not everyone who offers advise on your gear and rigging is a rigger. They may mean well but sometimes they are just wrong. Find a rigger in your area that you trust, feel comfortable around and go to him/her for important questions about gear.     Having read both threads, it appears to me that you could not get the response you wanted the first time some you tried in this forum. Bottom line, you do not have the experience that is generally considered necessary to start camera work and you do not have the experience and skills you think you have. This is not a flame, it is just a fact. Remember that the is a recreational activity, slow down and learn it well enough to enjoy it.
